DO NOT RECOMMEND! They wanted to charge me $110 for a follow after I paid for a procedure that worsened after The doctor did it. The manager is very rude and money hungry!!! These so called health workers care about nothing more than the money. When my health issue was being disregarded I saw how they treated another in the waiting room who needed care. Instead of helping the old man up they advised his car taker to move him. Very inconsiderate! People come for CARE. So if your employees don’t CARE this place will continue to go down the drain. I see this year has brought so many bad reviews. Hmm I wonder why! Management turned me away after a serious procedure for a simple follow up with the doctor. Just horrible.
The services that I receive from Gwinnett Urgent Care & Family Practice is excellent. All the staff members are friendly and ensure that I am properly informed about my health and care. I would have no qualms in recommending them to friendly and friends.
First off Sajani Patel should take more time to talk to her patient and we could’ve avoided going back there again, but we saw Jonson Palmer and he was very pleasant and assisted us! Unfortunately the receptionist Rena G was very RUDE! Rena you need to be more patient or find a different job!
Horrific experience with a male doctor there. My daughter was seen around 2-3p that day, not ONE person was there in the waiting room or in the back. It was completely silent and empty. We waited at least 30 mins. I told the doctor she had a fever for the past 24 hours that hadn’t gotten better and she had started breathing faster in the last 3 hours. The doctor did not check my daughters vitals or take her temp, just tested her for the flu and Covid, which were negative. We sat IN the room waiting for over 2 hours while he was off doing literally nothing for my daughter who was getting worse as we were sitting there. He told me her fast breathing was normal for her age, she didn’t have flu or Covid and to go and rest and take Tylenol. I told him to recheck her temp because she was still breathing fast. It was then 105. He said I should go to the hospital since her temp was so high, so he then ordered us an ambulance. Had he checked her in the beginning and actually been paying attention to her symptoms, 2-3 hours prior, we would’ve saved a lot of time. We sat in the ambulance in the urgent care lot, they took her vitals and told me the breathing is not a big deal, said to give her Tylenol and let her rest. So we weren’t taken to the hospital. It didn’t feel right, so I took her to the children's hospital 35 mins away. She had pneumonia in her lung. And both healthcare professionals dismissed her symptoms. Do better.
Horrible service. They wouldn’t see me and my three kids even though they accepted our insurance. Makes no sense. How does someone that is under your network deny you care?! There’s nothing ‘urgent’ or ‘caring’ about this urgent care. Total discrimination! -they request themselves listed as the PCP, which is a CLEAR sign that they’re just a clinic and NOT an urgent care. A normal urgent care will see you despite whether they are your provider or not. Do yourself a favor and drive to North Georgia Urgent Care on Pleasant Hill they were amazing and saw us despite not being listed on our insurance cards. -it was a urgent matter we needed to be seen URGENTLY hence why I went to an ‘urgent care’ we were in a car accident I didn’t have 24-hours to call an insurance and request a new insurance card that’s just a stupid and ridiculous policy.
UPDATE: Spoke with them and they rectified the situation. Apparently, they were in the middle of a prescription system change and I fell through the cracks. They made it right by expediting a refill of the cough suppressant, which went through without problems. ORIGINAL: Went to get a prescription for Paxlovin covid and a cough suppressant. Left at 1pm and was told they're calling the scrips in to CVS now. I was the only patient there, at the time. Fast forward to 4pm, still nothing. CVS has no record. And my cough has increased to a hacking eruption. Called them again and was told it was sent to the wrong CVS, despite it being on my intake form and the "provider" what they call their "doctors" confirming it in our meeting. Was also told they got "extremely busy" after I left. I drove by and saw very few cars in the lot that's shared with 2-3 other companies. 4 more phone calls in the next 2 hours and in the last one, at 6:11, they said the "provider" had to call in another one and mine would be next. I called CVS regularly and still nothing. By this point, I decided to drive to CVS and wait, but they close at 7 and I got there at 7:03 as they were leaving. So, I'll be coughing like crazy all nite, until I can get my cough and covid meds at 8am .
I didn’t have insurance but it was fine. We paid upfront for the appointment. They told us tests would cost extra. They accept card too. They always asked me if I consented to a test and told me the price upfront. If I said no, they didn’t tried to pressure me. The doctor was kind and had good bedside manners. She wasn’t angry or cold towards me like some doctors. I also had blood work done. I’m normally incredibly anxious about blood work. The nurse was very kind and patient, and gave me breathing exercises to do while she drew blood. The nurse didn’t have an attitude and was super kind about my anxiety. It was painless and over before I knew it. I’m very grateful that I was able to get treated for my situation and get treated with such respect and kindness. I hope I stay healthy but if something were to happen, I would return here.
Staff was very nice and knowledgeable! Overall very good patient experience! Will definitely come back each year for annual physical exam!
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ANY COST. The owner and office manager Abhijeet is only money greedy and donot care about patients and their health. I had my physical done and they charged me co pay right away I had to call my insurance to find out physical has no co pay. Also the follow up checkup require another co pay. All they need is money all the time. When I get upset they just give me my results back and no advise nothing because I refuse the copay as I never paid the copay to other clinics ever the follow is the part of physical exam. I went to my previous physician and he reviewed it right away and give me prescription on my high blood cell and explain the situation according to previous physician if I won’t take certain steps I could get the heart blockage and all but this clinic knowing my results didn’t consult me or guide me at all even though they got paid for physical exam from my insurance but they again wanted the money. Avoid this place they are just money greedy people. Take care of your health and go to good clinic.
Very bad and unprofessional One week ago I went there for iron test and vitamin D test Once i told the doctor about my symptoms he was trying to write me a description without doing any test . I didn’t accept and I told him I wanna do the test . The nurse when she took the sample she did it wrong and my hand gets so blue until now ! Then I went later on to get my results they made me wait for almost 1 hours and half and when I asked the front desk employee she said just wait couple minutes and after 15 min they took me inside and made me wait another 20 minutes inside the room when I asked the nurse she’s like the doctor with another patient and I don’t know when he will be done !!!!!!! They wasted my time and I don’t recommend at all !!!! The front desk employee is so rude Don’t go there !!!! You will waste your time for nothing.
