Gym Magic is the only multi-sport/preschool institution in Las Cruces, NM. The facility offers professional lessons in dance, cheer, swim, and gymnastics. In addition to sports the institution incorporates a certified preschool and daycare. The previously explained programs serve as the core emphasis of products and services offered by Gym Magic. The facility also offers a slew of other opportunities: yoga, birthday party venue, tutoring, camps, and more.

My kids have gone here for swim and Kinder Ninja. It has the cleanliness and the equipment for a corporate place but the atmosphere of a family owned establishment and it is family owned. My toddler was scared of the equipment and exercises in Kinder Ninja but his two coaches took their time with him and now he keeps asking to go back. He's definitely warmed up to the exercises and become more confident and adventurous. He did start throwing a fit when it was time to leave but his coach was gentle with him. I was able to sit where he could see me and there are ample cubbies for shoes. They have a snack bar and 5 private restrooms for families waiting. They also have a restroom with a diaper changing station. I used to have my toddler in swim and I just enrolled my daughter in Water Babies. The pool was always warm and clean and the instructors were always sweet, making sure the kids had fun. The locker room for the pool is very cold which is my only complaint but it had plenty of space and private stalls for changing and private bathrooms as well as a large communal space. There are cubbies for swim bags.
Wow, I saw a scathing review when I went to call Gym Magic about a make up class. It compelled me to write a review. This place is amazing and so are the people. I actually hate being around people and I feel great at Gym Magic. So do my kids. Everyone from Gary at the door to the coaches have been great. Yes, there are a couple coaches that could be "cooler." One in particular, I do avoid her classes and it's just because I find her style too rigid. Even for open gym she says we are going in the wrong order for things and it just confuses me because when I think "open gym," I think flexibility not structure. But oh well! Thats just a personal preference and we are all different. There are like 20+ other coaches and classes available. Honestly, I have considered moving out of state and one of the biggest reasons I'm not moving is due to Gym Magic. I'm not even kidding. I'm looking in big cities even and there is nothing even close to what GM offers all in one facility. Oh, and if you're a homeschooling family, this place invaluable. One critique I would give is that I wish you could filter the classes by time frame on the website but thats an IT thing. Thank you for all of the events you hold for the community that are open to the public!
Swim instructors are not at all qualified and are extremely underpaid. This business does not care about teaching children to swim, they just want your money. Couldn’t believe my swim instructor was a 16 year old child with no CPR certification! How do you expect someone like this to be qualified to teach and handle children in water ALONE!? Ridiculous! Especially for the steep prices parents pay, to have minors “teaching” their children how to “swim”. This place is a joke and so are Lucy, Peggy and Nancy. Horrible people to “run” a “business” sad. Especially disappointing because Las Cruces is very limited when it comes to activities for children, but that is no excuse to keep this ridiculous money pit in business. This establishment needs a new swim director and owner, with better customer service skills and an actual passion for teaching young people. Rather than elderly people who hate their lives and purposefully take it out on their students by being extremely petty and passive aggressive, no child needs that especially when their parents pay so much money for them to actually learn, rather than be screamed at by Peggy for not being perfect it’s about learning isn’t it? Disgusting these people know absolutely nothing about the patience it takes to actually teach children properly rather than instilling children with fear of messing up. This place will be shut down soon if it continues like this. It’s disgusting and embarrassing.
I have been so incredibly grateful for Gym Magic! As the mother of an only child, I was initially hesitant about enrolling my daughter in activities in the midst of a pandemic. Gym Magic was able to ease that hesitancy. They were welcoming from the start, patient, organized and they have offered a practical and safe environment for my daughter and for others. Not to mention Coach Ireland is a dream come true. She’s so kind and she works uniquely with each child. We couldn’t ask for more. Thank you Gym Magic!
I'm am currently in the boys team at gym magic, since 2018 I've been competing ever since. Ive been going since 2014 same with my brothers jack and cabe they've both been going longer but we all love this place.
Both my Son and Daughter have attended Gym Magic for years. They have done it all, Swimming, Ninjas, Recreational Gymnastics and Team Gymnastics. The gym has top notch equipment, extremely knowledgeable coaches / staff and fun activities! Highly recommend!

This place is amazing! When we first moved to Las Cruces we kept wondering what Gym Magic was since their parking lot was almost always full. I took my toddler to the open gym that they have on Tuesday's and Thursdays and it was probably the best and most fun we had had in a really long time. It was awesome to see how well the coaches interacted with her and the other children and how they were able to guide the kids to different activities choice overload for my daughter at the time. You bet your butt I enrolled her in their preschool! The preschool at Gym Magic is called Ashley's Garden and it is by far one of the best in town in my opinion. It is private and you do pay a bit of a higher price than a few other private preschools in town but you know how that saying goes: You get what you pay for! I cannot stress enough how well thought out and organized the place is. We just do the morning half of the day - activity centers, dance, some Spanish, swimming, big and little gym. Since we have been sending her, our daughter has improved her speech, English and Spanish vocabulary, her ability to play well with her peers and follows directions better than before. There is so much more I could say about Gym Magic but I highly suggest checking it out for yourself!
They have a great set up here. I take my kids to open gym all the time and it is a great experience. We had our oldest child in a few of their programs back in 2007-08. We really enjoyed to programs and the facilities, although I really did not see any real benefit to the programs long term, we had a lot of fun. We have considered putting another child in the gymnastics program, but honestly we struggle with justifying the price. Their website has a section in FAQs addressing why they are so expensive, but I am not finding it justifiable to my family. That is my only real criticism. The staff is a knowledgeable and friendly and the facilities are safe and well maintained. If price is not an issue for you, I completely recommend them.
I really like the gym magic environment. Facilities are really well-maintained and equipped. The instructors do very well with the children and I am quite impressed with what my daughter and son have both learned during class time. My only complaint would be that recently management have increased the class-size capacity and I don’t feel that my children get enough activity time now. With the number of children that are in the classes they sit and wait for their turn for more time than they are actually participating and moving around. I wish we would have been consulted as parents before this change was made so we could have decide if we wanted our children to remain in the class or not. The price of the class remains the same. While the activity level and instructor time has decreased. I expressed my concern to the staff and they stated that because there’s two instructors now the class-size can be larger. I don’t see a problem with this if the children were older, my daughter is 3. The wait time is what bothers me because I think it’s a lot to ask of that age group to stay seated while 8 other children take turns on the equipment. I feel for the instructors as well they seem overwhelmed since the increase in class size. During the toddler class it is overwhelming how many people are in the one room together. There are up to 12 toddler’s and their parents and two instructors, that’s a total of 26 people in the space together. It’s hard for me to even concentrate on watching my son and playing with him because I feel like I’m going to step on another child or run into another parent while we are all in there together. I really hope that the management can resolve these issues because I really enjoyed taking my children to Gym Magic.
