Haas Animal Hospital

About

Animal Hospital. For all your animals medical needs.

"Haas Animal Hospital opened in May 1991. The goal of the practice has always been to provide the highest quality care for the area’s companion animals. Many of our clients feel their furry companions are also members of the family and expect them to be treated as such. Emphasis is placed on preventative wellness care for all pets. Our furry family member’s age faster than we do so senior wellness screenings are recommended once the pet reaches 7 years of age. Our in-house laboratory allows us to have the same day results on routine blood work and urinalysis. This helps the doctor to detect potential disease processes earlier and begin treatment faster."

Dr. Haas is the owner of this fur baby hospital, our baby Tator had 30 bladder stones in him and his urethra was stopped up. She said she recommended we take him to baton rouge but I insisted she do the surgery. Does a damn good Dr. Below you will find some of the stones she took out of him. We are thankful unlike other veterinarians she did not say let's try this food let's try this medicine she said let's get him into surgery now. Her price was very affordable. Sugar Land patient doctor and we'll explain every detail to you I highly recommend her. We Have finally found out fur baby family Dr. Her staff is very kind and does relay any message and the Dr. Herself will contact you. I don't know how she does it because she's always in surgery or seems. We are so grateful to Jesus and Dr. Haas, and her staff. We love y'all.
Such a cute facility! The doctor was so nice, and immediately calmed my nerves. She was very professional, even while my cat was shedding his entire coat on her shirt I'll be bringing all of my animals here.
Love this place. The staff is always nice to deal with and Dr Haas is excellent with the care she gives to animals as well as the pet parents. She explains everything and takes time to listen to any concerns you may have and stays open past 5pm . So you can get apt for 5 and have time to get there after work.
A small, quiet, and affordable vet. Dr. Haas was very caring and took her time. A plus was all the sweet kitties as greeters. Me and Sammie will be back.
Four stars so far only because my dog’s treatment is not yet completed. However that will most likely up to 5 stars. The staff is very nice and informative. The veterinarian takes the time to personally explain the procedure, why, how…whatever is happening at that time. They treat my baby like one of their own.
Very professional and knowledgeable. The staff really care for animals and they all do their best to answer any questions and concerns. I also find them to be the most affordable in my area.
First visit to Haas Animal Hospital to establish as our new vet. Everyone was so friendly, great caring service and very reasonably prices. We have found our new vet!
Love this vet’s office! They always get me in promptly when my dog has an issue, and the vet and staff are very skilled and gentle with him despite his nervousness. I feel like these are people who genuinely love animals and it really shows in the level of care.
I am glad I stuck with Dr. Haas for my kitty Trumpet. She has been having a very long haul with diarrhea . Dr. Haas showed empathy and concern as well as extensive knowledge on what could be the possible causes and spent an hour with us. If Trumpet takes to the new diet and shows improvement we will be thrilled. The cost, which was one of my concerns, was the same as it would have been if Trumpet had been euthanized. Dr. Bari Haas is not greedy. She is genuinely interested. I was and am very thankful for for that. Here is the new set up for feeding times twice a day. I want to keep the healthy cats’ food separate from Trumpet’s. Trumpet is released when the feeding times are up.
UPDATE - MAY 30, 2023 First, I want to say, a month ago, I switched my dog to this vet because, the vet I was using, would not help me getting my dog from the car, citing insurance regulations. I have a dog that is animal aggressive and willful and requires special handling. I ask for help to avoid problems. These people do not treat dogs with monthly medication for heartworms, even with a 'trace positive' case, unless you agree to go through their heartworm eradication process! They gave me one pill for last month and refused to sell me another pill this month! I was not informed by anyone there, that only one pill would be issued, for one month and not for subsequent months, because of a positive test, as the other vets do and after receiving an automated reminder, to come in this month, I did go in and was turned away! They said heartworm treatment, monthly, would not be as effective, if the dog tested positive on any level. Not that it would hurt them, just not as affective, as treatment. I think everybody knows that but it would prevent further infestation, as I am told by other professional sources! So, I asked for a copy of the test results, that are required yearly, to resume prevention, so I didn't have to go the long distance home to get my copy, so I would have a record of her yearly exam, to give to her previous vet, that I was forced to return to, who will administer certain kinds of preventative As I walked out, the office lady said, " We'll be removing her from our system." Then she said, "We're done here!" I answered, " We sure are!" While, I will fall short of saying they were rude, I will say they were cold, unsympathetic and quite unapologetic, at least to say they were sorry for any misunderstanding! One point - If I weren't allowed to buy a monthly treatment for my dog, then why was I put into their system, to be reminded of next month 's treatment? I should never have been placed into the system! It was bad enough that I wasn't told by anyone in the office last month, that would be the only dose I could get but then to be on the list for automated reminders! I've included a pic of that mailed reminder! Yesterday was my first visit to Haas. I found them very amicable and efficient. Appointments must be made here but they will help you with your dog, if you have difficulties in getting your dog inside. The vet herself was very pleasant and took a huge amount of time with me, explaining my dog's condition and very patient with me! I have had a lot of troubles lately, finding a good vet, that would fit in with my life and my needs with my dogs. I sincerely hope, I have finally found the vet I can feel comfortable with.
