How to Donate to The ReStore

Items can be dropped off at the ReStore during business hours or arrangements can be made for a pick-up. Donations are tax deductible.

We pickup donations from Lake and Porter County. Please call our hotline if you have donations.

Our organization is a 501c3 and our Federal Identification Number is 56-1525939.

We accept:
Appliances (Stoves, Refrigerators, Washers, Dryers, Dishwashers, Microwaves)
Furniture, Chairs, Tables, Couch, Dressers, etc
Cabinets (Structurally sound enough to be remounted, no water stains or damage)
Carpeting (No stains or odors)
Doors (No holes, chips, or scratches)
Electrical/Lighting (Must be in working condition, clean with no rust)
Flooring (Complete pieces free from scratches and other damage)
Hardware/Power Tools (Must be in working condition and include all parts)
Toilets (Clean and in working condition)
Wood Furniture (No scratches, legs must be stable)
Upholstered Furniture (Clean with no stains, rips, tears, or odors)
Windows (Must still be insulated, with no condensation between panes)
Tile (New boxed tile only)
Shingles (No more than five years old and packaged
Shower Doors ( Clean and non corroded)
Home Décor (Framed Artwork, Knickknacks, Artificial Plants)
Building Materials, Lumber, Plumbing, Trim, Nails, Screws
Vehicles (Cars for homes program – 877-277-4344)
Any construction related tools and items are always wanted and appreciated. Our organization is a 501c3 and our Federal Identification Number is 56-1525939. Donors are acknowledged in various media outlets.

We do not accept:
Used/Partial cans of paint
Televisions/VCRs/DVD players
Built in Cast Iron Tubs / Kitchen Counter Tops with Cut Outs
Unframed Glass or Mirrors
Exercise Equipment more than 5 years old
Chemicals/Pesticides/Industrial Cleaners
Clothes, baby items (Cribs, Car seats,

Good buys at great prices. Only wished they delivered. Will only hold items for 2 days. Must provide your own pickup.
They sometimes price things quite a bit high.....so it makes it not worth checking out. People go there because they can't afford the retail stores prices,but their prices are not much better. So they don't help anyone... except themselves . Should be a lot cheaper for stuff that's donated to them. Sorry just my opinion. To each their own.
I use yo love coming here you guys were so great with prices I walked in to purchase a stove and couch from you guys an walked out due to the fact your charging what brand new prices for them. I thought wow maybe it's just me so I called best buy for a stove they have them n sale for 385 and same make and model but new an then down the street for 600 dollars I can buy brand new sectional. Thank you for past service not now your prices for furniture that was giving to you being way to high!!!! Ripping off people isn't what I think should be going on lower your prices you would have alot of people buying.

Great place to shop and find some good quality goods. I love to antique shop and can recognize the value of many of the items they sell here from furniture to salvage items for the home. They have a good mix of modern and vintage items and it’s always fun to see what’s in stock . Staff is very friendly which is a bonus. Highly recommend!
I was never there before and it was simply an amazing place. Everything was neat and in order. Prices were very reasonable. The furniture they had there was awesome. A lot to chose from because they had a little of everything. From glassware to cabinets to doors. The furniture was priced decent and was very clean. I'll be going back to buy a couch that i really liked. And i like the idea of where the money is used. I wished about this place sooner. Well at least i know where its at now. Great going to all who put there time and effort into this.
This is hands down one of my favorite Restore locations. They always have a pretty good selection. And the one in Merrillville is now closed it seems. Found a little gem today in Griffith.
Great place to go look around for decent furniture and odds and ends without paying obnoxious high prices. Terry Burns
Picked up this really cool lawn mower for 40 bucks and a nice little decor for the man cave for 2.50 cents. People there are awesome. You get all that and its going for a great cause.
I've purchased many items here from appliances to decor. I've had them pick up larger donations and deliver larger items purchased. The staff are FRIENDLY! Highly recommend donating your items to them. Completely a worthy cause!!!
