Perfectly fine store but most items are overpriced. They sell matching sets separately with each item as more expensive than expected
I had the best customer service from their team yesterday. I needed a walker for a family member and they were quick to assist me. They were all so friendly. Thank you for your help. :
Prices are absolutely ridiculously high for mediocre or badly damaged items. This is outrageous. You are THRIFT a store, maybe they need a reminder this is a thrift store. A 1990s bedside table that really needed to be trashed and they were asking $35.00. A chipped plate was $8.00. Don’t bother saying anything to staff because their rude response is “This is a charity.” I understand, but you are not helping yourself.
The wife and I love hitting up thrift stores in the area to see what we can find. It's always like a treasure hunt. I bring this up to highlight the point that we've been to this store off and on for quite some time now. We've noticed recently that prices have started to skyrocket to what you'd see at antique stores. This was very evident today when my wife was there and saw a piece of framed art that had been in the window for weeks. She had been on the fence before but decided to go ahead and get it this time as it actually had a reasonable price of 6 bucks. She went to check out and the person ringing her up makes a snarky comment about how 6 bucks wasn't high enough and she needed to check with her manager. 5 minutes later after just leaving my wife at the register, she comes back without the item and says the manager agreed 6 bucks wasn't enough. No mention of what price they were going to change it to, and even mentioned it wasn't their price tag. I'm assuming they were accusing my wife of putting a fake price on the item. She didn't even bother asking what they wanted for it now and just left. Come-on guys, you get free junk to sell in order to try and build homes for people in need. Are you raising prices to get more money to build more houses or have you found a way to pocket some of it? This greediness isn't going to work well in the long run. At any rate, we're done giving these stores a chance. It isn't just this one being run like this, all of them in the Charlotte area are. Rock Hill just so happened to be the last straw.
$50 for a junkie beat up Rockingchair. I would definitely never go back. Everything is extremely overprice.
Too expensive for a person having to start over...and where do the proceeds go for items sold...
An old favorite of mine. Went in with my friend looking for paint and he found the perfect color for his bedroom...and it is recycled so that is great for the planet. Of course I found a few little trinkets as well. Yes, I still think some of the items are ridiculously overpriced BUT I can still always find some great treasures. I definitely will continue to browse here. Today I found a brand new Allen & Roth bath vanity. Just in time to finish my half bath reno. You never know what you may find! I love it!!
I would encourage as a consumer to price check new store prices. You have allot of items for sale at higher prices than new in store...sometimes twice the amount. We would love to buy from you but refuse to pay higher. Especially for donated items. Yes it is for a good cause but no need to sell like this. Maybe consider negotiating on prices. Hope you consider this advise as it is sound.
So tempted to give this place 1 star and tell you all how much it sucks but today is Monday and I swore to stop telling lies on Monday. This might be my favorite store of all time. If you've never been here you don't know what you're missing.
We went in one day last week. I found a vanity that was $75. Reasonable for a used vanity for the bathroom. No sink with it. I went up front and the lady stated that she was holding it for someone even thought they didn't usually hold for people. She said the lady really really wanted. I said so do I and I have the money right now. So I agreed to leave my phone number if she didn't come back on the hour to get it. I never got a call so I assumed that the other lady got it. I was curious to I went up to look yesterday. PLEASE TELL ME WHY IT WAS STILL THERE AND NOW IT COST $150 !!!!!!!! THIS PLACE IS A RIP OFF!!! They over charge for used things. They are liars. I will never go to the Restore again. I will share this story!!!!!!!
