Hamamori Restaurant and Lounge

Stopped for a quick snack and stayed for a lot of drinks. Enjoyed the Japanese banter between our bar chefs. Next time I am ordering the Executive or VIP because I want more.

Spicy tuna crispy pizza - loved this specifically dipped in soy sauce with wasabi - the rice was crispy and the tuna had a little bit of a bite Ora king salmon - really delicious - good texture Blue fin tuna - I think I'll just always like salmon more Kumamoto Oysters - I liked the mignonette sauce

Today I ordered the Executive Sushi, which is a lunch serving of 8 pieces of Hamamori Gems. Hamamori gems are premium nigiri with a premium topping on top. Each lunch serving comes with a house salad and miso soup. Each piece was very delicious, and some pieces had some unique combos that I haven’t seen before, including some very tasty sauces. The uni bluefin piece was the most flavorful in my opinion. To finish off the meal, I also ordered a tamago, which at Hamamori is a very fluffy cake like tamago, very delicious.

Great Sushi restaurant !! I had a wonderful night. Chef Mr.Hamamori has a good personality and great technique. Every sushi were spurb. Best Sushi ever.

It was very good and the overall service was great. It was a bit awkward because I did not get my main dish until my dining partner was almost done with her main course. Will not keep me from returning but I hope it is not like this every time I visit.Food: 5/5

Amazing food, tonight we had Yoshi chef and there are no words to describe his creativity and experience. We love coming here because they always make us feel like we are home. Fantastic service. James keeps the atmosphere warm and makes all of the customers feel special. All their employees are fantastic

Been going here for 5 years and it has gone down hill since the pandemic. My last three visits were a huge disappointment Fish is not as fresh as it used to be, preparation of sushi was not up to par and appetizers from the kitchen were awful. I will not be patronizing this restaurant any longer.

The best sushi place in OC. Everyone we've recommended this place to have all agreed. Friends who had excellent sushi in Hawaii even said Hamamori is better. Another friend drives from LA for his sushi fix. The fish is fresh, buttery, and just melts in your mouth. Even their teriyaki bowls for kids are great quality. I don't pay the bill, but I've been told the prices are very reasonable. Don't let the poshness of South Coast Plaza scare you away. If you love sushi, you have to try Hamamori.
