Great hardware store with a small town feel! They do a great job repairing screens for windows and doors. I was very satisfied with their work!
True hardware store with knowledgeable staff. A quick stop for batteries or garbage cans for hot bbq coals
2nd time at Hamel True Value Hardware and both times they were helpful and I got exactly what I needed.
Wow. This guy is amazing. 1. They were unable to find my previous order because they were unable to correctly spell my last name. 2. The sales-person told me, "You can come over tomorrow and I will help you". I came to the store the next day with the window sash, but he was not working. 3. Finally, I got a quote for the new window sash, and it was priced for $1000. In the state of Minnesota, we have 10 Marvin window dealers. Hamel True Value Building Center is one of them. I got the window sash from another dealer for $435 including sale tax. The price for Hamel is 2.3 times more. It is quite possible that Hamel is a very good store when you spend less than $50, but if you need to buy something expensive, it's better to run away. A $600 difference is a good sign to avoid this place all together.
My dad needed some special kind of bolt so he could replace the wheels on his walker. Big box stores are too big, and there’s no one there to help find what you need. So, I took him to Hamel True Value. We went in and my dad was helped immediately. The man working there took my dad to the bolt section, and in no time, they found what he needed. It’s hard to find customer service like this nowadays. Plus, I believe we need to support our local businesses more. From now on, when I need any kind of hardware item, I’m coming here first. If you live around Hamel, and need hardware, I encourage you to shop here.
We, Len Busch Roses, have been going here for years. Great, friendly and knowledgeable staff.
I have recently made multiple trips for a variety of projects. The service, help and advice is invaluable. My favorite item of the season is "The Snow Plow" poly blade snow shovel. These are wonderful and worth the price. So nice finding what you want/need so close to home. Very friendly staff.
This place is great! The service you would expect and their prices are very competitive with the big box stores. I ordered a new Marvin window and not only is the quality way better than one from Lowe's, the service was amazing. The knowledge these people have cannot be found at any other box store.
To the local, not hard to find. Out of town, maybe abit difficult. I enjoy DIY so a hardware store with knowledgeable staff and the right stuff for any particular project is a must. Probably find better price points at a big box store but there is something about local retail that is definitely worth a few cents more. I highly recommend.
I just needed some hardware for project I was working on. The were super helpful! I was in and out in less than ten minutes thanks to the customer service. Definitely going back for my other hardware needs!
