Hammock Pointe Elementary School

We just moved to Florida from the midwest a little over a month ago. I have a daughter in 5th grade and 1st grade. My 5th grader hates it here and begs me to homeschool her virtually every morning. My 1st grader likes it. My older daughter is afraid of her teacher and says she yells A LOT. My youngest has a younger teacher who is very sweet and smiles a lot. Your teacher's attitude and way of dealing with students really does make all the difference In the world. We came from a nationally recognized BLUE RIBBON school with an amazing community involvement. We were so lucky to be apart of it but it makes our experience at Hammock Pointe jaded. Also, the office staff is not too friendly. I avoid going up there because I find them rude and abrasiveexcept for the one lady who showed me around on the first day. The principal has never even contacted me by phone or email to welcome us to the school. So weird. I miss all the friendly faces, faculty and parents, at our old school.

My daughter loves to study there. She did kindergarten and now went to the first grade.
