This one of my favorite thrift shops in the Bay Area! March 24, 2021, yesterday, they were open from 10-1. They had someone at the door checking people in. Only 20 in at one time. It is located in Los Gatos—a high end place. The thrift store is not very large, but it is filled with lots of amazing treasures. This ia one of the two thrift shops in town. What do you think women in town do with their designer clothes when they are tired of them? There are shoes and hand bags locked in glass cases And nice ladies will open them for you so you can have closer look. If you are on a close budget—they have blouses for $4. Up high on the wall there are designer jackets that don't look worn. There is a rack of Vintage Clothing, and one of Maternity clothing. There is clothing for children and men, but it seems to me that it is mostly women that will score there. Today, they had a display of dolls that were marked 1/2 off. Need glasses or dishes? They have them. They also have knick knacks and jewelery. If you like reading books—they have a lot, but I didn't have time to check them out. Last but not least, they have dragons!!! I think you might find one that would make a child happy or the child within jolly! A great place to shop for yourself or someone special. I am sorry that I didn't have more time to shop there. Oh, well, another day…
Ive been coming here since I was a little girl with my mother. Always get a kick of finding great items for a good deal. You had to be here early because it would fill up with people quick. But unfortunately, items are tagged at ridiculous prices. I know prices are going up everywhere but it’s too much. A basic glass bottle was priced at $18? An old kettle that was chipped at $16. A broom was $10?? Old stuffed animals at $9?? Random framed pictures for $25?? Insane. And also a lot of “check eBay” posters. The volunteers are always great. I noticed when the new manager came in prices went up. Tall man with black hair. I hate to make a review on this wonderful thrift store but hope this helps with pricing.
My childhood years were spent here on Saturday mornings... I usually found cheap cool toys, clothing, and my favorite books that my family could afford. Now I am an hour and a half away and I do make the drive if Im heading that way. Travel before traffic! Plan accordingly they close early. If you want to show your family and friends a cool town, with food/coffee shops and a stop at the thrift store is always a good start, I suppose.
This WAS my favorite thrift shop until recently. The price is getting ridiculous, you need to get your price down to earth. This is a charity shop, we all want to do our part to help out the community and have fun shopping at the same time. But is is no longer fun when the price is unreasonable. I give it 3 stars for the volunteers, they are always nice and courteous. Please replace the person that doing the pricing. Or have him/her retrain.
Great small but packed thrift store and been around for over 60 YEARS! Lots of friendly volunteers, proceeds go to Uplift family services. Open limited hours. Worthy a trip!
I was asked to leave my stroller outside. It was very rude considering there was another couple in the store in front of me with their stroller and not being bothered. Clearly they didn’t care about my business in their store and did not even offer to watch the stroller as I shopped. Do I want to risk all of our goods and stroller being stolen for some thrifted items? No thank you. They were not hospitable and I do not plan on returning.
Excellent selection and prices, usually crowded, friendly service, parking can be tight
Clothes being sold are fairly worn. Clothing racks are put together closely to sell more clothes, put it’s really hard to move around. With one person in an aisle, you have to squeeze by them. Happy Dragon doesn’t sort by size too, so you’ll have to look through piece by piece to find clothes your size. Dressing room is pretty small, with nothing to put the clothes on, and nowhere to sit either. I gave it a two star though because the employees working are really nice.
Too many super old and worn out clothes and things, for being located in Los gatos I was hoping to find very nice things, sorry but they need to clean and throw thing to the trash , when I saw I was just thinking dollar tree has better new thing overall. I feel bad to post this but some one has to say it . I bet people donate good stuff but they only have to throw the too old and too used and put only the better donations . Lovely and nice people work there
Be very careful at this thrift store. They do put completely old and different items in a new box, mark it as new. So when you get home and open it you would be very surprised by what you got. Especially with no return policy. Got in that situation two times already and would never donate to or buy from them again.
