We planned on staying here and had to cancel because my husband hurt his shoulder. I did not read the contract correctly my fault, you have to cancel 72 hrs after you make the reservation. Just an fyi for people. We got a whole 17.50 back out if 150.00 guess they thinks that's fair. They did offer us a credit, denied it because not sure when my husband will be better. I canceled 4 days before arrival. I guess you live and learn just wanted people to be aware. Just wanted to let people know he never reached out to us , I feel like he is just trying to make himself look good. I have cut my losses.
Scary. It's basically a parking lot least by someone in San Diego. Big homeless camp right next door. We had 2 bikes worth 4,000.00 dollars stolen and the couple across from us had a 7,000.00 bike stolen the same night. Police report and everything. The host felt bad and the police sheriff said it's a bad area. No security and no lighting at night. Do yourselves a favor and pass it up.
Redwood Harbor Village is where the former Redwoods RV Resort was located. There is new ownership, no full-timers by the ocean and an on-site manager to take care of business. I spoke to Gabriel when I called yesterday about the park and Gabriel was so nice and positive that we decided to drive down and take a look. We met Mike, the on-site manager. He really is doing a great job getting the park changed over and cleaning it up. The park has rest rooms/showers as far as amenities. The reason you go is for the gorgeous beach in walking distance and Redwood National and State Park nearby. The sites are narrow if you have slides but they are more than willing to work with you. All sites have full service and 30 amp electric plus some sites have 50 amp. I definitely recommend Redwood Harbor Village. It's great place to stay if you want to enjoy the Northern California coast and beach, as well as, Redwoods National and State Park. Nearby activities: Redwood National and State Park is very close.
It’s a dump!! For $86 and right on the beach we expected better. We were told we would have a pull through and they don’t have any pull throughs. Instead they give you two connected spots. I was told 50 amp and it’s only 30 amp. There are a lot of trashy rv’s in this park. The sign hasn’t been changed to say Redwood RV resort so it was hard to find. I’ll never stay here again!!!
The Management worked with me and my reservation. If you are ever in Crescent City, give them a try!! New Management is trying to help change things in town!
The service was wonderful, and the view was amazing! Me and my family had a blast on the beach and ocean view every morning. Thank you for the awesome experience!Service: 5/5
We had a nice stay at the oceanfront RV park. It's walkable to the beach.Rooms: 4/5
It is a nice beautiful view of the beach. It's a month to month rentals agreement if you have your own RV. Easy access to the beach trails and a nice boat dock. Awesome place to fish for fishermen. All in all a nice vacation for a decent expense.
The positives were the location - we were beachside ten meters from South Beach, and close to great restaurants! On the downside…there was nowhere on our pull through site to put our mat and chairs…not that you would want to as they certainly wouldn’t have stayed there due to the very dubious neighbors and passers by. There was a neighboring trailer very obviously selling drugs with people and vehicles coming and going 24/7. The restaurants closed early 8-9pm. I would have expected so much more for $50 A night.
Beautiful place to stay. Restaurants in area are also amazing. Sea lions right down the street.
