Had a great time doing the 18 hole disc golf course last weekend. Then my kids showed me how to play gaga ball. Seems like they've got a good variety of things to do.
My daughter and I went up to Hardack for a hike on the trails. Very beautiful at the top and the trails are well maintained. Went the second day of fall so there was some color changing already. Very beautiful , well marked spot.
Lots to discover; natural playground, slack lines, pool, hiking trails, open fields, disc golf... Such a nice venue!
Pool review - This place is stressful with a 6 year old. Not relaxing at all. No splashing allowed!? The life guards are inconsistent across the board one will allow splashing the next does not. One week we are allowed a snorkel next week we are not. Terrible place! Rules are necessary but they are over the top. No thank you!
This is a beautiful spot and a well-run place. We got a big storm today, the driveway was plowed, and the fireplace provided a cozy atmosphere. We loved our first Hard'Ack visit. **Update** Today I visited the pool Dome installed What a magnificent place bigger than Smuggs enclosed pool BTW I signed up my son for swimming, to improve his strokes, The place is new and spotless. The staff is warm and professional. I highly recommend this place, this is a gem to be treasured!
Construction is moving along and Hard'ack is making improvements! I was at the dog park, enjoying time with my sister-in-law and her pooch, and noticed so much was going on. This is a lovely spot, located in an easy to reach location. People and dogs alike can take some time to walk, play, and hike the trails. Soon there will be a new public pool and a Snack Shack is already on the premises. Having a place in St. Albans to enjoy the outdoors at your own pace and still be moments from civilization is an ideal situation for most residents. Go take a look. Walk around and get a feel for the place. You'll be glad you did.
We had a really great time exploring the abundant trails. Excited to go back!
The new pool is great! The bubble keeps it nice and warm inside.
Amazing free area. We went for sledding only but I saw quite a few dog and pet parents in the dog park. The sledding area is very steep and takes a couple of breaks to walk up the hill the kids had no problem tho. We will be back!
Funpark, xc skiing, downhill snowboat/ski with tow rope, ultimate Frisbee, hiking, new year round pool going in. Love to go here! Update: the new pool is really expensive, the kids walking on 105 with no sidewalks to get to and from the pool is crazy dangerous. Came after work thinking I would swim some laps $10 to get in even though they closed in an hour! Wanted to check it out so I paid the $ anyway. No adult lap lane anywhere. I love Hardack but the pool seems weird. I asked about the season pass and if it would include the winter months. I was under the impression they were covering the pool so it operated all year round? Was told the pass was good to the end of August and they did not know if they would operate in winter because they did not know what the weather would be like!? Um it will be wi ter in Vermont, cold and snowy. Was there some other type of winter they were expecting when they told folks about this year round pool? Are people expected to buy new season passes for winter? Will it even be open in winter? What happened to $5 to get in? Left feeling confused. The rest of Hardack is awesome!
