I got the room with King bed and lakeside view patio. It was spacious and great! The only thing I dislike is no microwave, and the toilet was struggling to flush. We reserved the room online. The hotel guest services was okay. It would've have been excellent if they have signs about gym hours, why they only take certain $$ for deposit, smile and greet us at minimum. The valet services was closed when I went - kinda upsetting. Back to the gym, hours are 24 hours - it's one of the better hotel gyms I've been to, but the floor wasn't even please note, there's a camera inside The casino's slot area is okay, tables were big and great employees, the bars was big and had great bartenders. The food was okay for Alpine Union Bar & Kitchen and decent for the Oyster bar - this place need to have a seating area please get rid of the fine dining park prime steakhouse - no one ever goes there....
My rating is a soft "3." Spent four nights here, as part of a week long road trip. The casino, lobby and restaurants are all great, plush with a fun vibe throughout. And very good eating at The Oyster Bar & Alpine Union shout out to our bartenders Dave & Patti who were awesome! The rest of the infrastructure needs a lot of work. The rooms are spacious with comfy beds our lake view balcony upgrade fully worth it however the closet doors continually came off the rails, we needed to jiggle the handle on the toilet regularly and the shower did not drain leaving you standing in several inches of water. Hallways were missing light bulbs, the carpet & elevators pretty worn out. The pool deck drains were clogged, one of which had considerable algae growing on top and the towels were skimpy and worn. Requested housekeeping one day and they never showed, upon second request the next day they did. The parking situation was bad, upon arrival we drove by two fully vandalized vehicles in the garage that were towed away before we departed. The garage elevators were not operating and the staircase was very damp. Speaking of parking, was told upon booking that parking was included in my reservation, upon checkout I was billed an extra $80 for it. I called that out and the front desk quickly removed it. On a positive note, the location is absolutely terrific and once you're there you can walk to everything in Stateline without having to subject yourself to that awful parking garage.
The General manager either never looks at the property or doesn't care. Parking garage elevator is filthy and the carpet was fixed with duct tape, carpet is worn out. Elevator in the buildings has worn out carpet and smells. Hallways smell like someone either did not make it to the toilet after partying or the cleanup was bad. Room temperature can not be adjusted to preference. The temperature was 69 in the room and hit the heat button and temp dropped to 63. Notes at thermostat state building can only heat or cool so you can't adjust the room for comfort. We booked 2 nights and after 2 hours advised front desk we were checking out the next morning. Price way too high for substandard rooms. A bottom budget motel is better.
I have stayed at Hard Rock Hotel before and this place was not like the ones I've been to before. It was expensive and should be lowered due to the quality. I ate at the diner and I got sick from the food. The shower was cold and warm on/off. There's no air conditioning. A fan that barely blows out any air. I have asthma and I requested a non smoking room. The room smelled like smoke and my lungs were burning from the smoke. They only gave us a half roll of toilet paper so I had to request more toilet paper and they only brought one roll when I was staying for 3 days with two people. The only upside was a good view. The window only cracked open about an inch. Horrible considering there was no air flow in the room. I definitely won't stay there again. Smh but glad I left the hotel and had a good time in town.
This hotel was a perfect place for a little getaway. Yes, you pay for parking but almost all hotels charge for it? The front desk ladies were super nice and a quick easy check in/ check out. I had questions in regards to my bill and the manager Anna came out and was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel was a great vibe, all workers had friendly customer service. Sweetest lady at the Fuel coffee shop , Center Bar bartenders were awesome, Alpine had good food and strong drinks! Highly recommend, view from my balcony lakefront was stunningly beautiful made every penny worth it. Will be back soon! Rooms: Comfy beds! Wonderful view. Walkability: So many things in walking distance!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Lake Tahoe, and it truly exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. I can confidently say that this is my favorite place to stay whenever I visit Tahoe for some gambling and fun! The rooms at the hotel are incredibly comfortable and well-appointed. After a long day of exploring and playing in the casino, it was a delight to retreat to a cozy room that felt like a home away from home. The attention to detail and the luxurious amenities provided made my stay even more enjoyable. The comfortable bed and the serene atmosphere ensured a restful night's sleep, allowing me to wake up refreshed and ready for another exciting day. One of the highlights of my stay was the casino. The lively atmosphere and the wide variety of games kept me entertained for hours. I had an absolute blast hitting the slot machines and trying my luck at the tables. What impressed me the most was the attentive and friendly staff who were always available to assist with any queries or concerns. Moreover, the fact that they keep serving you drinks while you gamble is like having the best of both worlds! During my stay, I indulged in a delicious pizza at the Italian restaurant on-site. The flavors were exceptional, and the service was top-notch. It was the perfect spot to refuel after a thrilling session in the casino. After satisfying my taste buds, I took some time to explore the breathtaking surroundings of Lake Tahoe. The hotel's location provides easy access to the lake, allowing guests to enjoy the natural beauty and serenity it offers. As someone with a busy lifestyle, I truly appreciated the short break I had at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Lake Tahoe. It provided the ideal combination of relaxation, excitement, and adventure. Whether you're a gambling enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable getaway, this is the place to stay. The friendly staff, comfortable rooms, exhilarating casino experience, delectable dining options, and proximity to the stunning lake make it an unrivaled destination. I highly recommend Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Lake Tahoe to anyone seeking a fantastic time in Tahoe. The memories created here will last a lifetime. Book your stay and get ready for an unforgettable experience.
We were very disappointed in our stay at this property. Our room was not clean, we were missing coffee cups and drinking glasses. There was not a mini fridge in our room . Only some rooms have them and ours did not. We were looking forward to a swim in the pool after seeing all the people enjoying it while we got unpacked. However when we went down at 5pm, everyone was gone. Apparently they decided to close the pool because of the weather, however it was just a wee bit windy and the rain clouds were far away in the distance. No lightning, no rain, no storm. Then we were told it closes at 7pm. With check in at 4pm that gives families three hours over the dinner hour to use the pool. We were told that parking was included, but they charged us $20 for parking when we checked out. We have been on a road trip for three weeks now and this was the most expensive place we stayed at three times more than any of the other properties and the most disappointing. We would not recommend staying here if you like value for your hard earned pay.
The room at the Hard Rock Hotel was acceptable but the room service sucked no service at all.We had to request room service but nobody ever came to make the bed or vacuum. They finally did bring us some fresh towels after I complained numerous of times we stayed there for four days. Just terrible service ! We where told that the pool is heated but it was not just cold water no jaccuzi the fitness room was hot no AC working. The property is not very well ran just poor service I give the property one star. Also the eating restaurant's was poor too.I will never return to this property ever again! Paid so much money and got so little the rooms should go for $ 39.99 crappie service housekeeping. Lake Tahoe is a beautiful place though I will return but not to Hard Rock Hotel Walkability: Gift stores and other hotels are close to walk too
Worst place ever. When we booked we were told we’d have free breakfast and there was no breakfast. No microwave no fridge. Rooms were dirty and had bugs! Had to throw out our clothing because we didn’t want to chance taking bugs back to our home. Tried calling the office and i couldn’t get through. Went down and nobody was at the desk. Drains were clogged with hair. For the price this place charges you’d think you’d get a damn fridge and microwave and free parking! Its $20 a night for guests parking. Never again will we step foot in this place and if you’re smart you wont either.
If there was an option to give ZERO STARS I would give it. My husband and I stayed here recently and it was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. For a standard room, there was no refrigerator, no microwave,no ice machine, and the AC barely worked. We even tried to get a cold drink from the vending machine and that even came out hot. The phone in the room doesn’t even work as well, we tried to call the front desk to ask for extra pillows which they never brought because we asked twice and non of the speed dial numbers worked. We had to call the front desk on our personal phones. We stayed here 4 years ago and it was great! We don’t know what has happened from then to now but we definitely know we will never come back. There’s clearly neglect happening here in this hotel. Hard Rock please do better. Everyone else GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND SAVE YOUR MONEY.
