The executive suite rooms are really nice. For $350 dollars a night during off season in the middle of the week and reservations done three months ahead of time, you would have a view better than the casino roof. The hotel was not full. If you want a cup of coffee after 9pm. Good luck.Hotel highlightsQuiet
Average large hotel... Older, slim on amenities and dining choices. A cafe that has limited hours... Over-crowded, over-priced and confusing and irritating parking situation. Elevators were always packed, slow and many times full which I experienced several times due to the trips between floors in my attempts to locate functional ice and snack machines. One plus is the sound proofing between the rooms is some of the best I've ever not heard...
I had a great time staying here for 2 nights for my kickboxing fight there at the casino. It is in a walkable area, near many restaurants, gift shops, and other casinos, and about a mile walk from the Lakeside Beach in California. The views of the mountains from my window were beautiful, and the room was nice and clean. There is also a nice little indoor pool and a decent sized gym for a casino/hotel. My only minor complaint was that one of the elevators got stuck with the door open.
I should have reviewed a long back, but memories bring back to the service that they provided. There was an old lady working at the casino I don't remember her name, though.I was new to the country at that time and wasn't aware how stupid it was for me to carry Penny's and dimes to a casino counter for Chip's.I would really appreciate her patience levels despite me going to her with dimes and quarters for chip's quite a few times. It was a great experience. Overall, for the amount of service and quality time that I've spent with my friends.
Requested a microwave for medication. Was never contacted prior to arrival to state they didn’t have a microwave for guests. Apparently its their “policy” to not offer microwaves. Well then maybe you should contact people upon reservation confirmation to advise them of this so they have the opportunity to cancel their reservation & select a hotel who offers such needed amenities. Hotel is also very dead. If you’re young, stay at The Hard Rock. Take my advice this hotels boring lol
Went to Ballys on a Tuesday evening to try our luck. The place was literally dead. No one was playing at the tables, and just a few people playing at the slot machines. There was no music playing, no cocktail waitress asking if we'd like a drink, no good dollar machines to play. What a disappointment! The vibe was totally all wrong. Worst casino I've ever been to. We left.
Bedbugs! Beware! My wife was bitten multiple times on both legs and the hotel REFUSED to comp us after moving us to a different room at 4:30 am. They said there were not bedbugs in the room. I have photos to prove that it did. BEDBUGS!! Don't even think about staying here!Rooms: 1/5
We visited the casino on a Saturday night around 11 PM, we expected the ambience to be more happening. Overall really liked the place, drinks are quite on the expensive side 10$ for a bottled beer was too much. The nightclub Opal was quite good which was free for girls and 10$ for guys.
We really had high expectations of Ballys, but they did not even come close. The room did what it needed. We slept, and we’re able to get ready, but it was not worth the money spent. When we checked in the front desk girl “G” was not helpful and rude. The first thing she said when we approached the front desk was “it’s too early to check in”. We were aware of the early check in fee, she did not take time to listen or provide any type of customer service. She did not provide us a receipt, she said the printers broken, did not offer an email receipt. I have called the hotel multiple times requesting an email receipt and it has still not been received. We did not get any direction to our room or to the parking lot. Once we finally parked we wandered the hotel for 15-20 min trying to find the elevator to the rooms until we found someone who could help us. The elevators were not reliable. Once we got inside the doors took awhile to close, or they closed so quickly we hardly had a chance to get in. The room itself was nice enough and clean. There was water damage in the bathroom, the sink leaked and the toilet ran. The room served its purpose but I was very dissatisfied for the money we spent here. I would not stay here again or recommend to anyone. The only thing good was the view and location. Walkability: This hotel had good access to nearby restaurants and shops.
Not extravagant. But we didn't pay for any particular upgrades or a fancy room. That being said the room was a little worn down maintenance wise. Some of the drawers had busted hinges. Not the worst thing to deal with but annoying and it gives a general sense of lack of care for the property. Overall we had fun here and found a good deal online so price per value was pretty decent. We ended up winning a good amount of money between a few slots and the blackjack table which made the experience even more fun and signing up for the gambling club is definitely the smart move since it knocked down the price of the parking parking SHOULD be free for guests but it's not and just gambling a little was enough to earn the day prizes which were pretty fun. Walkability: Lots of fun to be had nearby. Not far from the lake and surrounded by restaurants and shopping. We were there in the summer but for winter folks the ski lift/tram is a short walk away as well.
