Harlingen Sports Complex

Best shaded Park in Harlingen perfect space on a hot summer day with oak trees surrounding play and picnic areas and breezy as well

This is a great park! There is a fenced-in playground both for big kids and one for little kids, basketball court, baseball diamond, large gazebo with pit BBQ grill, pond where you can feed the ducks, lots of parking, bathrooms, etc. My only gripe would be the lack of maintenance at the park. Most of it feels pretty dirty and overgrown. With a little love, this would be an amazing spot!

Awesome place to get your sweat on,my wife and I love the fact that one lap equals a mile. Thank you City of Harlingen for maintaining The Sport Complex.

Earlier tonight l took my girls to walk and enjoy the ducks and turtles. Sadly we had to stay off the pier due to a missing plank, another one with dry rot and one not even bolted down. There is also some kind of concret base with exposed wires where someone can trip over it. I dont understand how this can be left unseen or or gone un-reported. I would hate for a child to fall into the water or get hurt. :-

Area is always great to have a good walk, and the pond has quite a few warning signs of "NO SWIMMING" Which is a precaution for all. Basketball court available and a playground, along with the walking trail on the outskirts of the complex. Baseball fields available too, during season. Great place for parties, but that will need reservation of the pavilion through the city.

fun park but scary lab/bull/pit mix dog from nicely decorated lawn, along entrance side, is always getting out and harassing people! bit me back in December and have been sorta uneasy about park since :/

My kids like this park. We go walking here, they like to stop and watch the ducks and turtles in the little pond. This park has baseball fields, basketball court, playground, soccer field, a pavilion to host parties. Plenty of parking. Overall a good place to spend a Saturday evening with the family. Watch out for the 2 geese though.
