My girlfriend and I are current patients and we both have a ton of complaints we’ve voiced but nothing has changed. I had a great doctor that went above and beyond recently but she has left unfortunately. Outside of that I’ve had issues getting my meds sent in, my girlfriend has called them almost everyday for a week to get one of her meds sent and the pharmacy has faxed them multiple times but she is still without her meds. I’ve had to call 10 or so times in one day just to get ahold of someone and that is a recurring issue, not just for us but for other patients. My girlfriend previously saw Ryan Rafa who just kept throwing meds at her and ignored a lot of issues she would bring up. I went to an appointment with her at one point and was given a ton of attitude by him as soon as we walked in. During her appointment she was having a panic attack and Ryan literally laughed at her and I had to tell him to take the issue seriously, he in general is very unprofessional and just loves throwing a slew of meds at people without explaining side effects or withdrawal effects. The only reason I honestly remember his name is because of how awful the appointment was. I myself am on a medication that when abruptly stopped can give me seizures and/or kill me. There have been times I went without my meds and had to go to the hospital over this because I couldn’t reach anyone to help me for days. The doctor I recently had was fantastic and I can’t stress enough that there ARE good doctors here, but there are many issues as well. If you’re looking for a good doctor, you may find them here, but the inconsistencies and the potential for not being able to reach ANYONE when you’re in need of basic things is very high. At first you will feel like your every need is being met but after becoming an established patient you will likely run into issues.
Don’t ever set up automatic reacquiring payment plan here. I had cancelled mine and was told I will no longer be charged. Once again I am charged. They don’t ever answer their phones either. So just know they will take and take off your card you have on file even after you tell them you want your payment plan cancelled. That’s not right at all and like I said after that good luck getting your money cause they never pick up once they know they’re in the wrong or call you back. I will say one good thing, the Dr I see here is great but that’s the only good thing about this place.
This will be my first bad review, but Just no….. I won’t go into detail about my therapist, but am not surprised she either got fired or quit because she was extremely unprofessional. They notified me the day of my next appt that she was no longer with them and then scheduled me a new therapist… They called a couple weeks later to reschedule my appt with a new therapist then the literal evening 6PM before my morning appt they called and sent an email that they need my ID for the virtual appointment or I’ll have to reschedule. I emailed a picture of my ID a few hours later when I saw the email/missed call and did not get a call or notification for my appointment when the time came…… Oh ok. So, I just wasted months when I could have went somewhere else for treatment since clearly they do not care. Why couldn’t they have let me know weeks ago that they needed my ID ? Not at 6Pm the evening prior to my appt ? Doesn’t make any sense…… sorry, not sorry , but No. Please be better :
I’ve been seeing 2 providers here since 2018. I even make a 1.5 hour drive now to see the one who I can’t see through telehealth every month or so since moving out of state. I always feel listened to and the providers really seem to care and want to help. The reception can be kinda hard to get ahold of, but they are quite busy usually. Not sure why all the lower ratings here, but I’d certainly not think of going anywhere else.
I see a lot of people complaining on here but at the same time I’ve been in the state for an entire year and that year I’ve been to two places other than us so that makes it three places in total for mental health one of those places released my information to Cps. The other one called CPS on me. This is the only place that has respected the Hyppa law. This is the only place that took me within less than a week and my child and his respected our privacy and still treat us no matter what! West Virginia sucks so bad for Mental Health I’m from Florida where are you can go anywhere and I mean anywhere for Mental Health so to be totally honest with you thank your lucky stars that you can actually get an appointment with Harmony, in the several locations where they have them because if you think for one second you’re gonna get a better place in West Virginia you are out of your freaking mind because guess what You’re not I’m here to tell you Harmony, is by far the best place that you can go in the state of West Virginia take it for me because Prestara will release your information to anyone who ask for it and PsiMed PsiMed will call Cps or the police on you because I know this I know this about both of those places and however harmony harmony does not repeat does not break the Hyppa law and does not call on you for some stupid blank reason! so I give them four stars because I barely ever give anyone five stars that’s just me, but you know what you people that give one stars and complain. There’s definitely something wrong with you obviously way more than Mental Health because you have obviously lived here and nowhere else, but you know what good luck finding somewhere to go and I hope this Review help somebody and I hope you actually read it because there’s nowhere better in West Virginia to go then Harmony, and I’ve only been in the state for one year. Take that into consideration! As well as my teen daughter, and we’ve been through nothing but hell nothing, but in this place took us in, and they have treated us very very well, and not released any of our medical to anybody ! But hey, if you think you can do better go ahead, but I can guarantee you you will come crawling right back to this facility no matter where it is in the state of West Virginia!
I love the person I see here, but the administrative side is so poor that I will have a reply to this comment before I have a prior authorization done. Update 1 Month later: Still having similar issues - it is extremely frustrating that I can't get ahold of anybody. All the calls go to some call center instead of being handled by someone in the office. In addition, they usually do not answer and you have to leave a voicemail.
If you are somebody who needs mental help fast, go somewhere else. For a place that's supposed to be helping those who can barely get out of bed or shower because of depression, they make it impossible to set up appointments, then cancel without even telling you, and the newest I've experienced is going weeks without even hearing from them about a refill on my essential medication
Updated August 2nd 2023 Before my story from what I went through with these people last year, I want to talk about my recent experiences. I have told them many times I can’t make it to appointments on a certain day of the week, yet they kept scheduling them for the at day. So I kept canceling. I called multiple times and each time I did I told them I needed to chose a different day. Went through the scheduling process all for the new schedule to never seem to take. That is until this week where I got a text reminder telling me I had an appointment, I had to cancel other stuff to attend it because I didn’t want to miss out for the second month straight of therapy. 30 minutes after the time that was listed, I still hadn’t received a link or anything to attend my online appointment. I called to find out that the text was wrong and that I canceled my other plans for no reason. All of that is not to mention how annoying it is to get ahold of someone on the phone about scheduling. I’m not talking about the difficulty of getting an appointment, no, just to talk to someone about getting an appointment. MULTIPLE times I have called to sit on hold in a phone queue. In this phone queue an automatic message will play to tell you what place I was in line. Often I’d be on hold for about 15-20 minutes for it to finally be my turn only to be sent to a voice mail. Why not just send me to the voicemail to begin with and NOT waste my time? In July of 2022 I met with a provider. She told me she wanted me to do neuropsych testing without telling me what to expect or what they were looking for. Literally 6 months later well after I had forgotten about it, I get a call to set up the exam. The only reason I went through with it is because I was told that my insurance would cover it completely, which turned out to be incorrect. I was charged for it AND the appointment to interpret the results. At the end of my test I was told that I could only get the results from my provider, so I set the appointment up for 2 weeks later. A few days before my appointment I get a call telling me that my provider could not make that appointment because something came up. The soonest she could see me was a FULL MONTH LATER, this pushed us well into the new year. Once I got to the appointment it was a completely different person who walked me through my results. This Was beyond ridiculous and it’s not even the first time this provider canceled and rescheduled an appointment at the last second. The whole and only reason I went down this path with harmony was to receive therapy for anxiety. I have stated many times that I have no interest in medication but every time I have met with the provider she has tried to put me on all kinds of medicines. One time I offhandedly mentioned that I had a somewhat hard time falling for a few weeks and without skipping a beat she tried to prescribe me some sort of sleeping pill or something. The therapy is ok, but I don’t particularly trust the providers and the scheduling is a nightmare.
I saw Ryan Rafa, PA for just under a year. While Ryan was nice, it was clear he was always in a rush to get through the appointment. I'm unsure if this was just him, or was do to the pressures of a busy schedule. While seeing him, there were multiple times I felt like my concerns weren't listened to, and his solution was just to keep adding medication. Additionally, I was put on medication that turns out to have pretty extreme side-effects and withdrawal effects. I was told NOTHING about either side effects or withdrawal effects when I was put on it. Now that I'm tapering off of it, I'm really frustrated that I wasn't fully informed to make a decision when it came to my medication. Aside from my experience with my med provider, it's almost impossible to get in contact with ANYONE from the office. In order to get an appointment with Ryan Rafa, I called the office phone more than 10+ times over a period of 3 weeks, leaving a message each time with no response. I finally got a response when I sent an extremely frustrated contact form email about the lack of response. It's inappropriate and unethical that an established patient can't get in contact with the front office staff to schedule an appointment. I'm lucky that I wasn't in crisis or out of medication yet, but if I had been, the office would have been no help.
This place was a complete waste of my time. They didn't do anything to help me with my severe acute anxiety and panic disorder. Also my ADD 'Inattentive type ' diagnosis. All they did was profile me.
