Came in with immense pain to rule out heart attack. Mask wearing was not enforced for patients. Dr that treated me had his mask falling off. I had to ask him to pull it up. They were aware of my COPD and sleep apnea. I was pressured into a chest x-ray without knowing why. Left as soon as I could because, seeing as though I was having trouble breathing, the last thing I needed was to contract covid because of these lax protocols and lack of seriousness. The nurse doing my ekg left my breast exposed to people in the hallway as well. Total nightmare. I’d rather die than go back to this hospital.
Walking through the door I was greeted wonderfully by two women who sanitized me and happily directed me to the women’s center where the energy was anything but inviting. Secretary was rude and short with me where she kept patients on hold for personal calls. Also waited a good 25min after being on time to the appointment. I’d have no issue being patient if there was a reason to, being that the lobby was empty and other patients with appointments after mine were seen before me. Never saw the Doctor either she just looked at my ultrasound and relayed a message through the MA.
Was there with a loved one not very nice staff was there w-a-y too long of a wait my loved one was taken from er to the birthing center she had been barfing constantly over 24 hrs. Extremely rude and loud staff the security guard was very helpful at the beginning we were there a total of 6 hrs then rushed us out without finishing her last hydration IV ridiculousness…
I have nothing but great things to say about this hospital and staff. Everything from check-in to recovery was a breeze. I had to have a D&C after I found out that I had an empty sac . I was terrified to be put under. The nurses, Amy, there was one more but I can't remember her name who did my pre-op were amazing. They made me feel so much more at ease about the procedure. Excellent bedside manner. We talked about random stuff and it really helps with my nerves. The procedure was quick and I was able to leave quickly once it was done. The Dr and the recovery room nurse were great. I also had my baby here in Feb '21, another great experience.
This is my experience with surgery. My doctor is wonderful and the staff at the hospital were so sweet. I am a nervous wreck and they made me pretty comfortable. The whole process was easy and I felt well taken care of physically. Their attentiveness and friendliness made me feel a lot better emotionally as well. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because it did take a few tries to get my IV in which was stressful. I also wish my partner could have been with me in the pre-op room or recovery room, as I had to spend ~2 hours without any of my support system.
My Aunt has been here since 6:30 last night and was first told her foot was ok and no antibiotics are necessary. It’s a pressure wound and she needs to keep it up. Then we were going to leave because they were doing nothing to stay for and then the doctors came back and said well we are going to give you antibiotics so I said so we HAVE to stay now right? Just because someone admitted her before she saw the doctor. Now we are here and it is after 11 a.m. and she hasn’t had any food and is still in emergency and they still can’t get a doctor to let her go. She is 86 and has dementia and has been very distraught over this. It’s really inhumane to do this to her. :
If you’re planning on giving birth here, definitely take the tour. Between their terrible guest policy, and not having an option for a hearing test to be done in the room due to being an outdated hospital, or allowing the parent to go with them to the hearing test room. It’s just an over all non-impressive center *in my opinion* and I was able to find another hospital that will be able to accommodate the issues this place cannot. And no I don’t want a response from this hospital that “you’re sorry for xyz. Just do better.
This hospital and it's staff make you comfortable and provide a great service. They are caring, courteous and friendly. They are funny and professional and keep the stress down. Lewis the therapy dog was a nice surprise.
Dr. John V. Morasso, DO, was fantastic! I came in with extreme knee issues after seeing two other doctors. I was hopeless. He listened, consulted my xray, corrected misconceptions. Then he brought in the ultrasound and showed me all the fluid on my knee. He put in a cortizone shot, then extracted 15 cc of fluid. I walked out with NO PAIN whatsoever. For the first time in over 8 months, my knee was reduced in swelling and I had no pain. I feel it was a miracle! After almost one week, I am still pain free. I really really want to thank Dr. M. for his competent, caring and thoughtful care.
I safely delivered my baby here and had a great experience at the Harris Birthing Center. My husband and I felt so comfortable with the entire staff. We are grateful for all the doctors, nurses.. everyone at this birthing center!
