I finally decided to register my business. I was expecting lots of stress and crowd. But it took me just less down 20 minutes. I watched the staffs sanitized the cubicles right after each person. They were pleasant and quick.
It says closes at 5 PM. I left my work early to try to catch up arriving at 4:35 PM and they told me they close car registration at 4:30 PM !!!!!!! Have some integrity and respect people’s time. Update in 2022: as usual no solutions to the waiting issues, online car reg. renewal does not work and been waiting in queue for over 3 hours and still have 30 more people in front of me. Hundreds of people waiting here and seems that the management here do not care or escalate anything to fix the situation.
Fiance went there to get tags for a classic car. He went a few days ago to turn in papers to transfer the title. The lady said to come back in 3-4 days. He did. First lady he talked to, after standing in line, said he needed proof of insurance on THAT vehicle. He could call insurance co and they could email to them. He got out of line, and he did that. He got back in line, waited, got another lady who took his paperwork and came back, not in a hurry, to tell him that the title hadn't transferred yet. It could be 4 weeks! So he has a car that he can't drive, legally, for 4 weeks, at least. It would be nice that these 3 folks could get on the same page and give consistent and correct information.
People always leave bad comment but honestly, the people here were very nice and helpful. I came here to transfer a registration for a car and they helped me every step of the way. Even for the application itself. For the ones that are interested, I paid $216 for the title change.
Lina Hidalgo has turned most of Harris County into a post office box. i took my daughter there to transfer a title to her and was turned away without an appointment. Only one teller window was open, anyway. The whole point in going in person is to fix any minor mistakes on the spot and get the fee right. Now we have to mail in the paperwork and go through endless cycles of correction. At least I had the forethought to get help calculating the fee to send in. I went online and ordered a death certificate from City of Houston. That was June 10 and I'm still waiting for it to arrive in Cypress. Just what the heck are we paying these people for, anyway?
I was given a court date. I took a day off from work to come to court without pay. The judge is not available and no other judge is available.. The court clerk hand me a new date to appear and states if you don't show they will issue a warrant for your arrest REALLY what a tyrant SYSTEM. THEY ARE ALL TRAINED TO BULLY AND INTEMIDATE THE PEOPLE who paid their salary...
It’s a government facility, of course it’s trash.
I went here to get a birth certificate and the process was quick and easy. The employees are very helpful and are also very diligent about covid protocols. Quite impressive.
Crowded tiny building, need to construct new building
Gabriel in the traffic department was extremely helpful & nice. It made the entire process of taking care of my traffic tickets so easy!
