This “park” is nothing but a bunch of dirt and logs and plenty of overgrown grass with gaping holes - perfect if you or your dog want to roll your ankle while walking. Awful!
They need to maintain this place it’s Great for a dog to runoff his leash. But the grounds are in terrible shape. The grass is way overgrown there’s dog poop everywhere it smells, but I think if you’re groomed the grounds it wouldn’t smell so bad it’s a shame has a lot of potential and I do like going there.
My dog loves it here. Nice wide open space, plenty of room to run. Doggy water fountain off in the corner behind the covered picnic area so don't miss that if you forgot to bring water. Other owners were very nice and attentive to their dogs. They have a separate area that is fenced off for smaller dogs as well. Plenty of parking and a walking trail right next to it. Don't forget about freedom playground as well if you have any kids.
We love coming to this dog park, we drive out of our way to come here for the large dog side rather than the one within walking distance of us because it is so well-maintained. There are plenty of grassy areas here and a good hard surface for the dogs to run around on. Lots of shaded areas and areas out in the open for dogs who may want to cool off some. There is always a good amount of dogs here, anywhere from 5 to 15 is what we have experienced. Double gated entrance into both sides of the dog park a must and water is turned on during spring and summer months. Owners need to be sure to bring their own water if coming when it's cold out. They have the water turned off then to prevent the pipes from freezing and bursting. The size of the dog park is great, tons of room for dogs and owners to run and around and space out as preferred. Owners are all very attentive to their dogs and have not had any experiences with aggressive dogs over the years that we have come here. The fence height is perfect. I want to say it's about 6 feet tall which prevents big dogs from being able to jump over the fence. A bonus to bringing your dog here is all of the trails spread throughout Haverford Reserve that you can take your dog on either after or before the dog park. We prefer to hit the trails for about an hour to an hour and a half after an hour at the dog park as a cool down period where we are still getting exercise in. Dogs are supposed to be on a leash when on the trails. I highly recommend this dog park to others!
I take my furry life partner here at least once a week. Just a great place to let him run off some energy and get socialized. It's always clean and well-maintained. The other owners and pets are, for the most part, friendly, though the occasional aggressive dog will show up. I think I've only had one "bad" experience with that, but it wasn't enough to keep me away. Right next to the two enclosed dog areas is a nice little walking trail so you can get some exercise too!
This was a wonderful place to spend the afternoon.....and my dog is TIRED!! There is plenty of space, balls and stimulation for your pup here. There's a water spicket and bowls available. Of course please be safe and courteous and keep eyes on your dog....using common sense.
This dog park has secure fences and several fixed features for the dogs to play on. Benches for humans, and surrounded by trees, this is a great place to let your dog run. Restrooms: There’s a porta-potty in the parking lot, and more traditional facilities attached to a picnic pavilion within walking distance, but up quite a bit of hill.
We love this dog park. It's spacious and all of the other dogs have been very friendly. We have a dog park right by our house, but drive over here instead because of how much more attentive all of the other dog owners have been with their dogs.
Good amount of space. Plenty of poop bag dispensers. Completely fenced in and plenty of seating for hoomans. There's also plenty of balls muddy/dirty as they are in case your pup is as obsessed with balls as mine is. Not a whole lot of grass though - went there in December 2018 and it's hard not to slip on the mud when trying to walk up the hill. Also there doesn't seem to be any kind of running water, well or hose. So if you go, think about drinking water for your pups and how you'll clean them when it's time to go.
We took our rescue dog there for the first time and every dog was friendly and every person was willing to show us the ropes. The park had a big area for medium-large dogs with lots of cool agility obstacles and such for the dogs to run around on. We'll definitely go back and recommend it to others.
