We had an emergency w/ our mama Cane Corso after her first delivery and the staff here helped us right away! Everyone here was very kind and efficient while getting our dog the care she needed. Our vet was very helpful and informative in explaining her diagnosis and treatment plan along with the aftercare instructions. Definitely will be taking all our dogs here from now on! Thank you all so much!

This hospital and Dr. Johnson in particular are wonderful. They have taken great care of my old man kitty and his arthritis and again on an urgent basis when he developed diabetes while I was in the hospital myself. Highly recommend for your pets!

This is the only vet’s office in San Antonio I would take my dogs to! They are accommodating, compassionate, and very thorough in everything they do. The staff are all so nice and they take the extra time to explain everything, give price estimates, and talk me through different options. I never feel rushed or pressured to make decisions. If you have pets and live in the area, I seriously recommend taking them to this office!

Dr. Copeland is rude, not empathetic and just unprofessional. This vet office is corporate and they price gauge the hell out of people. They want $100 for something that costs $30 at my current vet. I do not recommend.

I come all the way from New Braunfels specifically for the care they provide my dogs. I cannot express my gratitude for the care, compassion, and authenticity of this practice. I am disabled, funds tight, and it can be hard to make it there but it is worth the trip for me. They understand about life getting in the way and provide options. I am so grateful for everything they do.

Love VCA, and my dogs do, too. App is convenient and easy to use. All your animals can have their own profile. Easy scheduling for appointments, see what your dog has been prescribed, reminders for vaccines coming up or overdue. Great team of people.

Came here to get my cat his rabies shot and some medication to calm his nerves as we take our first flight together to Georgia. The staff was really friendly and very knowledgeable! Thanks to them Iggy and I made it to Georgia safe and sound.

I followed my vet to this clinic when she moved there a few years ago. She has since left but I kept taking my two cats for wellness visits. One of my cats got very lethargic so I took her in to find out what was going on. I was a walk in, so saw a vet I’ve never used before. She ran blood tests and did X-rays, fluids then prescribed meds and recovery food, and sent us home. My cat got better for a few days then started getting worse again. I was in a panic after spending $1200 and no diagnosis then the wanted an additional $700+ for an ultrasound. I didn’t trust that they would find out what was wrong and felt that they were all about the $, so I called a former client who’s husband is a vet. He was off that day, but rushed to the clinic to see my girl. Within 1 1/2 hours, she was diagnosed with a thyroid issue, a back injury with bulging discs, and a possible esophagus issue. He’s keeping her for the weekend, and giving her pain meds, fluids and accessing the esophagus issue. I felt that my cat was near death and that I didn’t do my due diligence to get her in the right hands the first time. Shout out to Dr. Patin with Country Hills veterinary clinic for coming to the rescue and actually caring about the health of my girl. Needless to say I will not be bringing either one of my cats to VCA again. I’m sure they have competent vets on staff, but after the care received by Dr. Patin, I will continue to take my girls to him instead.

I recently had to bring my cat here to put her down. The doctor Dr. Copeland I believe is her name who treated my cat, explained the process and was understanding. I don't live in San Antonio anymore, but would recommend this animal hospital to those who do.

Mario and myself have been coming to VCA for many years now and have had only the very best experience regarding health care for all our dogs, there is no better vet care anywhere. The staff are each always concerned for our pets and ourselves and no doubt are all very caring people who love what they do. We have the utmost respect for DR. Johnson, She has been such a privilage to call Doctor for our fur babies, She has seen us through the best and happy times in our dogs lives as well some difficult and heart breaking losses. Through the years and through it all, Dr. Johnson has always gone above and beyond to ensure the very best care for each of our animals. I, We can't say enough about this wonderful woman and the Veterinarian she is. If you want the best care for your pets VCA is the place to go. Our respect and admiration to you all.
