Hawthorne Elementary is an excellent school in the city of Missoula with a blend of city & rural atmosphere. Once you walk through the front doors you can feel what a special family centered school Hawthorne really is--- Caring teachers who really get to know and love your child, a principal that makes it all happen with a smile and a presence that reminds students that she is there for them and is always available. I couldn't imagine a better environment to foster a child's love of learning, understanding that kindness and intelligence do not solely come from being economically advantaged and that above all -- we take care of one another. It is truly a special place!
