About Us
The year was 1945…When “Uncle Bud” Head returned to Oklahoma safe from the war, he also brought home his new sauce, made out of simple, wholesome ingredients available in every Navy ship kitchen. Back home, his fellow ranchers loved the sauce as much as the sailors and Head Country Bar-B-Q sauce was born. Once sold in a handful of feed stores, Head Country is now the number one sauce in Oklahoma and synonymous with the comforting and well-balanced taste of our brand of barbecue.
