Heald Funeral Home is a family run business located on the corners of Oak and Court Streets in downtown Plattsburgh, New York.
Located on the Corner of Oak and Court Streets in downtown Plattsburgh, the Heald Funeral Home was built in 1809 as a private home. It was originally used as the British hospital for the wounded during the battle of Plattsburgh on September 11, 1814. It became R.A. Blixt Funeral Home from 1923 to 1968. The building was then purchased by James Fitzpatrick and became the Fizpatrick Law firm. Jay Heald Purchased the building in 2006 from the Fitzpatrick family and opened the Heald Funeral Home on August 1, 2006.
