We have somehow gotten way off track with our approach to health and it is, unfortunately, painfully obvious in our society. Looking back over the last few decades, the health of our country (and most of the world) has taken a significant turn for the worse. We are fatter and sicker than we have ever been in our history. If that isn’t evidence enough of the fact that we’ve been doing it all wrong, I don’t know what is.
In my line of work as a health coach and personal trainer, so much of my job is educating my clients about proper nutrition and exercise. It’s shocking to me how far off conventional wisdom is to what the research says; it’s even more shocking how few people realize this. Many can vouch that I tend to ramble when there’s a willing ear to listen, but the fact remains that there is still way too much confusion.
