Went in for a preventative visit that's covered by my insurance. I'm talking to the doctor, and then she asks how I'm doing, any questions, anything new and so I talk about the car accident I got in where I was rear-ended at low speed. She just asked if I felt sore anywhere and if the car was damaged and we concluded that it was not a big deal. For that 60 second chit chat, initiated BY THE DOCTOR, they charged me $300 for office visit. This is a fraudulent charge that I'm fighting now. Every single charge I get from this M Health system I have to check what's being charged because 90% of the time they charge you something ridiculous. Half the time I can remove these charges but they're counting on people to not check their bills so that they can take as much money out of you as possible. You can't freely talk to your doctor without being charged as an office visit. Talk about watching Netflix? The doctor will tell you to not watch too much TV and probably charge $300 for consultation. Please record your conversation with your doctor from now on to protect yourself from these fraudulent charges. I actually like the doctors and nurses here, it's too bad that the billing department tries to leech every penny out of you.
My previous Fairview doctor quit the company. I have fairly serious symptoms, but Fairview tells me none of their doctors are taking new patients. Finally, they got me an appointment, guaranteed this doctor was accepting new patients. I got up at 6 a.m. to get to the clinic on time. Never made it past the waiting room. The receptionist told me that the schedulers were wrong, that doctor is NOT taking new patients. Meanwhile, my symptoms are worse. Guess I'll have to get my health care at the ER. EDIT: Fairview called me back at 4 in the afternoon, suggested that I go to the ER as they don't have any new doctors for the next 60 to 90 days.
I saw Shannon Larson today with alot of issues, she went through everything I had and set up a plan for me, wow, awesome, I asked her if she would be my primary and she said yes, I really have a much better outlook on whats going on now. Very professional and caring. Great job M Health
Don't look to this place to help manage your care. They are good at running patients through the assembly line but not so good at administrative functions. Don't look to this place for reliable communication between pharmacy or specialist when they refer you.
I've only seeked medical attention twice here, and on both occasions they had screwed me over. The level of incompetence is unreal. First visit, the dummy CNP did not contact/correctly proceeded with the process of getting me in contact with my specialist the specialist told me that himself when I followed up with him after waiting a year. I ended up having to wait another year for my schedule that's 2 years in total to get treatment. Second visit, another dummy NP kept changing her appointment on the last minute as if I am not a busy person. Like, how else you think I can afford to have insurance??? I had to move things around my schedule on her first time change request, yet she wants another 3 hrs before my appointment?!?!?!?! Not only that, she made that first request so confusing that I had to call the receptionist just to make sure that the exact time of arrival is correct. Ended up canceling that appointment due to the experience of incompetency in this clinic specifically.
If I had known when I started that allergy care would be a 5-year endeavor where I have to go to this place every month, I would have changed clinics. My allergy doctor is actually fantastic. Most of the nurses are also delightful. Everything else? Not so much. In particular, scheduling an appointment is the absolute worst experience I've ever had anywhere.
The BEST care available in the region. Always compassionately engaged concerning my condition and overall health!
We are very pleased with the care we have received at this clinic. Both my daughter and I have had scheduled appointments and used the walk-in clinic, We've always been treated respectfully and with care. Dr. John Kelly is my child's pediatrician, and we've been very pleased with his care for her.
I came to Heatheast/ M Health Fairview for a routine annual preventative care visit, which is 100% covered by my insurance. While the care I received from the provider while I was in the clinic was just fine, the billing practices are sketchy and honestly just wrong. I ended up with a bill of $200 for simply asking the provider to refill all my current medications. There was no additional management, no further questions that I had asked about my health or any of the medications I was currently on, as I have been on them for years. I literally came in to just have all my medications refilled. I am a healthy, young individual with no need for an annual physical, other than refills of my medications. I have been a patient in this health system for several years, and I have never had to pay previously for an annual preventative visit. I went through the ranks of trying to get this incorrect bill removed, starting with the physician, coding, patient advocacy, and finally the clinic manager. In short they were extremely difficult to get ahold of and after several months and probably 10+ phone calls, they essentially said, we’re not changing the billing, it’s the insurance companies fault, and it is what it is. Nancy, the patient advocacy representative was kind and seemed understanding, although it didn’t matter in the end. Save your time and money and go to a different health system. As a side note, I have read several reviews about this same scenario through their health system. I hope this heals save at least one person several hundred of dollars for care that wasn’t provided.
Three times I called to make an appointment and was on hold for over 30 minutes without ever speaking to anyone. I attempted to make an appointment online through the website twice and never received a response email, phone or text. I then set up the patient portal in order to request an appointment that way. There was no option other than mammogram offered as a reason for the appointment and nowhere to type another answer. One month later, I still have no appointment. They also screwed up the prescriptions from an earlier appointment, calling in old medications instead of the new ones.
