Healthy Roanoke Valley (HRV) is a partnership of over 50 public and private organizations, academic institutions, community and government leaders who are working to improve the health of those living in the Roanoke Valley.
Mission: Our mission is to mobilize community resources to improve access to care, coordination of services, and promote a culture of wellness.
Vision: Our vision is a community where all are empowered to achieve and sustain optimal health.
Target Population: Our focus is the underserved populations in the region including low-income, uninsured, and underinsured residents. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, our geographic range includes the counties of Botetourt, Craig, and Roanoke and the cities of Roanoke and Salem.
Strategic Priorities:
* Improve Access to Services: Improve access to affordable, comprehensive primary care services, dental care and mental health services, especially for the underserved.
* Improve Coordination of Care: Ensure access to available resources and services that address the healthcare needs of the community.
* Create a Culture of Wellness: All residents are empowered to consume a healthier diet, engage in physical activity, and make informed choices to achieve optimal physical and mental health.
