Hands down the WORST massage I've ever received. My boyfriend and I booked two massages here last night. The location was great, and the facilities were lovely - very clean and beautiful rooms. That's as far as the compliments go. The front desk attendant was rude and completely unwelcoming. Our two massage therapists were lovely ladies but, again, that's as far as the compliments go. I question whether these two "therapists" were actually trained at all. I paid for two deep -tissue massages - what I got was ineffectual, random rubbing for 80 minutes. No one asked me what I wanted worked on. No one asked me if there were places I didn't want touched. I asked three times for more pressure, and when the therapist finally started using her arm she dug into my SPINE not the surrounding muscles. I have bruises on my back today from where she rubbed my bones with her elbow and forearm. There was absolutely NOTHING about this massage that was pleasant or helpful. When it was all over, they asked if we wanted towels to wipe off with. No one seemed to understand that I had paid for an aromatherapy steam shower. They were disorganized, couldn't communicate effectively, and ultimately by boyfriend and I left feeling like we had totally wasted our money. I will never come back to this establishment. Complete disappointment from beginning to end.
After calling our local Spa to book a massage, I had the most unpleasant conversation with the individual I spoke with. This woman was extremely unhelpful, showing clear signs of verbal aggression. I was hoping to find a new location for my monthly massages close to home, but I will never give this business a dollar. Very disappointing.
Good Afternoon, I would like to share my experience for the 60 minutes couple massage I purchased for heavenly massage the representative there by the name of Mia was very rude an unprofessional an explained that they had no availability she seem as if she didn’t like working there an took her frustrations out on the customers. I would never support a business like this with people with that type of customer service.
Today I bought my husband a Gentlemens Spa package.. I’ve been dreading coming here for years. I finally decided to give them a try. He was so unhappy with his service but didn’t complain. I booked a 90 minute deep tissue massage, which only lasted 75 minutes. 15 minutes each arm, each leg & back. Not only was it shorter than expect he never recieved the deep tissue massage. The woman only put lotion on his body and rubbed him. Something I could have done at home. Now I’m at home having to do the job which isn’t the issue. It’s just something I wanted to do for him for his Birthday. So far the facial was the only thing he liked. This is for a $90 minute deep tissue massage. A 30 min facial, & a half done manicure. They also charged a $5 fee to take off his top coat he already had from a prior manicure. When I came to pick him up the young Hispanic girl charged me $10. Even thought I heard the manicurist say $5 on the phone. I will not be coming back to this place or recommending them. I was even thinking about sending my mother in law here for her birthday, also Valentine’s Day couple date for us. NO DONT WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY! It’s not worth $300 at all
Came here for my first massage ever and had a Groupon - the spa is quiet, relaxing, and staff is professional. Herman did a great job for my 60 minute Swedish and I felt so relaxed! The steam shower afterward is a nice way to end, too. Would recommend especially for first-timers.
I love this spa! I come here for the spa day every time I’m in Chicago and sometimes come with friends. Olga is the best massage therapist btw. P.s. always hand out the tips directly to your service providers
I recently visited for the first time. My package included 60 minute massage/ Mani and Pedi. When I made the appointment for the massage, I wasn't told that I needed an appointment for the mani an pedi service. I arrived there, and had my massage first and so I wasn't directed to go get my mani and pedi. My massage was ok, I've had better. I had to ask when I left the room, what direction is the nail salon the nail technicians asked did I have an appointment. I said, no I don't after I sat in the chair place my feet in the water. Mind you that the water had turned cold. Finally another nail technician arrived and service me. My pedi was good, I upgraded from a regular mani to a no-chip mani. I should have just left it as a regular mani. The no-chip polish has peeled off 6 days later. No-chip polish is supposed to last as least up to 14 days. Thanks to my daughter, who gave me this Groupon as a birthday gift. I'm not blaming her she didn't know this experience would be quite interesting.
She is nice , ambiance is good , nice room and shower but had to ask twice to go deeper with pressure but she always reason why not. I love massage and it’s my heaven being a full Time PT and mommy of dog and 2 kids but I wasn’t at all satisfied, my problem areas weren’t dealt with, very low pressure just like applying lotion for an hour, didn’t feel her wanting to ask if the pressure is fine. I would recommend if you go pls be clear with pressure maybe, so not to waste an hour time of your busy day.
Called in to book a manicure appointment and the lady on the phone was so rude! Which is unfortunate bc I live in the building & I’ve gotten my nails done here before which makes it so convenient. It’s a shame she was so rude
Great relaxing experience! Used as a part of a wifey weekend, she was both surprised and enthusiastic over the whole massage and steam shower experience. I also got us the manicure and pedicure package which put her on cloud 9. The whole experience was worth the cost and more! Connie is a great massage therapist and very helpful with continued methods of relaxation. Parking validation was also a plus.
