I partaked in a movie during my recent visit to Lake Tahoe, and this movie theatre is a pretty cool "old school" type of theatre. It was neat to buy movie tickets from an outdoor box office. I haven't done that in a while. Good variety of snacks and drinks. I also liked the size of the drinks and popcorn bags. Pretty typical movie theatre prices, so no complaints there. The theatre seats were the old-school small seats with small aisles, but really, I didn't mind. It was nice experiencing a movie here. Sometimes, you don't need a fancy theatre with the reclining seats. It was just real nostalgic watching a movie here. I wish there were more theatres like this.
It’s inexcusable they do not publish their cell phone policy on the web. Is this a zero strike theater or not? if you call them the only thing you get is a recorded message, no chance to find out b4 you go. that’ gives me low confidence that they would care about you if you experience a cell phone issue. I haven’t gone to see a movie in years because of several bad cell phone incidents in the past. I thought I would make an exception today if I could find out about their policy
Parking garage situation parking situation is unclear. Horribly miscommunicated policy. I didn't realize I had to ask to validate my ticket, I thought of asking but the employees are standoffish. And when I went to run back to the movie to get it validated they were locked up and didn't care. This movie theater barely shows any movies anyway. Not sure what I expected from the Heavenly capitalist scam of a "village".
Super clean, friendly staff, responsible priced, the only con was my seat didn't recline lol.
Be warned y’all, they charge $7.00 for a cup of ice water and won’t tell you. I let them know and they didn’t seem to understand how that’s a bit nonsensical, and I felt it’s important to share.
Popcorn is really good. Seats are ok. I hope they upgrade to recliners soon. Sound of freedom was a great movie.
I do not recommend this restaurant. One hour waited for a dish of sea risotto. They brought it, I was shocked by the appearance of the dish. There are no shrimp. The crab foot was served in a shell. Chef on the way out.
Ticket stooge stole our belongings claiming we had food. Then pressed us for our names only to deny or accept that they were our real names so we could collect our belongings after the movie. The man was very strange and off putting.
Snacks were a little on the expensive side with no refills on popcorn or soda. Seats were spacious and comfortable
It was pleasant, but in my opinion it could use a refresh at the conceasion stand.
