Village Centre Cinemas Wandermere

About

14-screen movie theater in north Spokane, offering Coke Freestyle, free popcorn seasonings, & free parking, as well as an immersive, digital experience!

Description

Village Centre Cinemas began in the exhibition industry with its first location in Pullman, Washington (an 8 screen complex). One year later, VCC at Lewiston became the second location for the upstart company (a 12 screen complex). The Pullman based management team was determined to combine quality entertainment and affordable pricing. Our company works hard to set ourselves apart from other theatre companies by providing each community with something unique. We have implemented successful programs such as the children’s matinee series as well as fun radio station promotions.

An opportunity to bring this brand of movie going experience to the north side of Spokane presented itself with the closing of the Newport theatre complex. The Village Centre Cinemas at Wandermere became a reality with its opening on August 4, 2006. The 60,000 sq. ft. building is the newest addition to the Spokane market. With the dramatic entrance of stone work and wood beams as well as slate flooring, the theater is truly impressive to look at. The lobby has massive 42 ft ceilings and a spacious wide open appeal. The 60 ft. concession stand offers every type of candy and beverage selection. VCC Wandermere features DTS digital sound, and wall to wall screens with luxury high back seats. The theater has two of the largest auditoriums in the greater Spokane area. It currently features the only Dolby Digital 3D system in the region a second system was added in June -2009. The 14 screen complex offers a wide variety of programming.

The Espresso Bar located in the lobby, features Dreyers’ scooped ice cream and a variety of beverages. The three 60 inch plasmas allow you to enjoy your latte and not miss any of the previews.

This is my favorite theater in Spokane so far. It's been clean and comfortable each time I've visited. The snack bar has crazy high prices, as does every theater. I usually eat before I go. Unlike some theaters, you can still walk up and buy your tickets at the ticket office. I don't go to the movies very often, but I recently attempted to go to another theater. The ticket office was locked up and there was a plastic skeleton seated behind the ticket window. Kinda funny, but I went home disappointed. Shrugs.
I love this place!!! Great atmosphere, nice workers. I love the old movies they're playing on certain days, playing some really good kid movies right now as well.. And what's not to love about all the popcorn seasonings they have Definitely check this place out for some family fun
Saw an early showing of Oppenheimer here. The place was basically empty - 2 of us literally had a theatre to ourselves. Clean, comfortable theatres with good projection and sound. Good concessions.
I love the food offerings and the seats are pretty comfortable. The place has been very clean each time I'm there. Only 4 stars because there was no toilet paper or soap in the bathroom.
9/2/21 I had to ding 2 stars. During watching a bad movieClint Eastwood I was cold so I went outside to get my jacket leaving my popcorn and soda at the ticket taker area. When I returned to get refills there were 3 lines at the concessions stand 5-6 people deep. There were 2 ticket takers by themselves so I asked if either could go get me refills of both since I left during the showing. One young man did, but was told by the manager that it wasn’t his job. I did get the popcorn and soda is self serve. Another customer and I asked for napkins. but he could not get us any we would have to wait in line. I ended up going to the bathroom for paper towels. In no way does this review reflect on any of the pleasant, helpful and accommodating staff. 5 for you.
This is Our local theater and they're always good! The staff are helpful and nice and the concessions are well-stocked and have a great selection for a smaller theater. Drinks are Coca Cola products in the fancy select-your-flavors machines, and it's always clean. No sticky floors, bombed-out bathrooms, or messy seats here! They're usually running 8 or so new release movies people actually want to see. Matinees are about two dollars cheaper per ticket and are usually empty so we enjoy having the whole theater to ourselves when we go. An all-around solidly Good place to catch a show anytime though.
I Went to see super Mario brothers during a large thunder storm of course the power went out. The managers made sure to notify everyone and keep the situation calm till power was back. More staff made rounds to make sure movies started at the right point. The staff even asked patrons to be certain before restarting. The theater also offered ring checks as an option for people unwilling to wait. I think seeing the service rendered under pressure that this location exemplifies excellence.
Certainly not the best theater we've ever experienced. But's it's not too bad either. Seems like a lot of places in Spokane are a bit lacking compared to other, nicer cities for some reason. None of the theaters are really nice here, unless you go downtown.
Experience was great! Not too crowded when we went, though it was a weeknight. The food is okay. Had the chili cheese fries, and they were decent.
Meg 2 was entertaining. Kid loved it parents laughed. Jason Stathum...harpooning the meg like jesus riding a wave....bwahahahaha. But my some made me fix the Kraken dying so here is his ending he wanted. He cried over Kraken dying. Theater is always good and less stressful than the others in spokane. Fresh popcorn and great customer service.
