I initially reached out to the company on 3/31/22 to have them create a cemetery headstone and a granite vase for my father's grave. I approved a proof created by the company on 4/1/22 and was told that 3-4 months at the most was the approximate turnaround time for the service. I was asked to send payment, which I did only after I had to ask the company to provide me a contract or work order some type of proof of the transaction. I emailed the company again on 4/11/22 and asked a second time for a contract and an address to mail a check for services to their office. Upon receiving an invoice via email, I mailed a check for $659 to the company. I emailed on 5/10/22 and they responded that they had received payment. I checked my bank account and the check was posted in full on 4/22/22. I emailed the company 7/19/22 and received a reply that the items would be delivered in the next 2 to 3 weeks. I emailed again on 8/31/22 to inquire about status and received no reply. Phone calls to the company over the last several months have gone unanswered. I emailed again on 9/6/22 and 9/9/22 and finally was told that "he will be making deliveries at the beginning of next week" with no additional response. On 10/4/22 after still receiving no notification from the company, I reached out to my aunt decedent's sister who lives in a nearby city. The company rudely told her that they prefer to talk only to one family member to "prevent having to provide status updates to more than one person." She drove to the cemetery and confirmed no product had been delivered. I sent additional emails on 10/5, 10/12, 10/13, 10/14, and 10/17 with no response by the company. On 10/21 my aunt drove to the cemetery and discovered that an incorrect headstone had been placed at my father's grave and there was still no vase. I emailed on 10/21 regarding this and demanding a refund for the incorrect headstone and undelivered vase. As of 10/23 there has been no response from company.
The family of Herbert's are very warm, kind, and compassionate. They help you decide on what you want on your stone, very professional and reasonably priced. I was very pleased in my most difficult time.
Have called the company dozens of times since I purchased two headstones over a year ago, neither of which have been installed. Paid up front. The company does not return ANY phone calls. Not once have they called back. I suspect we will have to get a lawyer involved. My suggestion, if you need headstones or vaults for your loved ones- don’t use this company.
Excellent family owned business. They worked with us every step of the way in getting our loved one laid to rest. They're not trying to get your money, they legitimately want to help you get through a rough time as smoothly as possible.
Left us waiting 1 month before burial and 3 months before headstone placement. They would place blame on each other for the delay instead of just fixing the problem. I DON'T RECOMMEND
They did an awesome job with my grandmother. Go Heberts! Great customer service and quick work!
I've am still waiting since November of 2017 for my daughter headstone to be finished..
