Description

The Helena Police Explorer post was started in 1998 with 8 charter members, many are still involved with the program. From the very beginning, we have strived to be one of the best law enforcement explorer programs in America. Since inception, we have attended six (6) National Conference/Competitions, seven (7) state level competitions, and countless training academies. We have over 100 trophies from these competitions. In 2004 and 2006 we received more top five trophies than any other post in the nation.

To instill, using law enforcement as a medium, basic values such as honesty, integrity, team work, and pride, in the young men and women of our community.

All about writing those tickets and not keeping people safe that live here in Helena! Not to mention rude!!! Women have no rights here! Oh yeah...trying to get a copy of a police report one day... made me wait....while a Farmers Insurance lady walking in with over 10 boxes of assorted doughnuts from Publix was buzzed right on in. I was denied a copy of the police report! The trash that started the whole argument and threatened me didn't get Jack done to them. Later on I found out some total BS the cops wrote everybody up for... No Justice!
Definitely money making scheme. Got a ticket the other day for " not yielding right of way" . Officer paused long enough at the light giving the impression he wanted me to go 1st. I went and he pulled immediately behind me and asked if I knew why he pulled me over. I said I didn't have a clue ... that's when he said failure to yield right of way. I explained what I saw him doing and that it appeared that he wanted me to go first. He said he didn't see it that way. It was definitely entrapment and I told him so. He wrote the ticket and when I drove off I could see him and another officer laughing about it. By the way it was last day of the month... obviously quota time. I've been driving for over 40 years - I certainly know who has the right of way on a green light without an arrow and I also know what baiting and entrapment looks like. They're not all like this, but it's a shame that some of them think that because they wear a uniform and have a badge that you're insignificant and have to bow down or go to jail. No way to win when the officer demands respect and doesn't have a clue that respect is earned.
Some time back I called the Helena Police on their non-emergency line because of an incident. They were prompt to respond and to look into the matter. I gave them 5 stars because they do a great job keeping us safe in our town. I also appreciate seeing them direct traffic every morning at the local schools. Many thanks to the men and women in blue that keep us safe in Helena.
This Department does not care about the lives of Black people. I have call them several times about my dad being terrorized by his nephew and they will not take a report. They only say that they can not do anything until they catch the nephew on the property. I supposed they will make a report after someone gets hurt! Maybe.
Often pull people over for minor incidents sometimes when they did nothing wrong and ticket them just to make money
Last time they stopped me was for walking down the road from the store when my car was broke down
Rudest people.
