I walked in and was greeted by two officers rudely as to why I was just walking in. Well the front door was open. And the paper that says contact the police dept was half off the glass door. But an initial negative experience turned out to be one that was very pleasant and helpful. Officer Smith came out to help me with my issue. She was above courteous, knowledgeable and welcoming. Our transaction was much easier than I thought it would be. Funny people can put you on edge and someone like Officer Smith can take you out of that negative zone with her smile and ability to listen and explain. As far as getting arrested I don't know anything about that but if you need paperwork from the police department I have had a pleasant experience. They were doing there job diligently
I went to the precinct yesterday and wanted to make a complaint for three officers. I called for assistance on Saturday the officers treated me unfair, and took my ex husband side. I don't think that is not right! My ex husband even said that the officers called me stupid and I am not. The Hempstead Police Department need to work on their people skills. May God bless you!
Overall experience wasn't terrible. Cars had a fair amount of leg room. Offices drove with purpose but not speeding. Cuffs were secure but not too tight. Cells were clean and spacious. I give 3 stars because the sandwiches were dry and they had only milk to drink. I'd recommend them for sure, would also get arrested again.
Awful experience with this station and the people who work there. They are not willing to help or work with people on issues in which they created. They care more about getting paid than protecting people. Truly sad that they do not really care about the people of the town. Would have given 0 stars if Google allowed it.
Called to report blatant criminal activity actively happening and the lady who answered said and I quote.. "we ain't got's time for dat" good to know my tax dollars are hard at work
The worst police department I've ever experienced. My sister called them and was try to get out an information from her because she was in an accident but the lady that picked up was so rude that calling her was a waste... I don't understand why someone in police department won't be patient to listen and know how to attend to people, is that how they save souls? P.S it was a woman that picked up It's an example of everything is wrong with the law enforcement
The receptionist was the best thing about this place. I was disrespected by multiple officers for an issue that could have been resolved quickly. If at all possible avoid interacting with those involved at this station
The problem is you call them and they don't show up and you have to call more than 2 times Either the dispatcher is not giving the calls or something else because i have met some of the officers and they are very cool .. one day its going to cost lives .we pay alot of taxes
A neighbor stole my dog. Hempstead police took me to get the dog, when I said I wanted to press charges, they told me they didn't have enough evidence.. If I could give no stars I would...all the taxes I pay, and I get no justice ...
Not helpful at all went in to ask for help to install a car seat for my son was told they don't do stuff like that over the weekend, come back Monday... What difference does it make what day of the week it is???
