I brought my mother to the ER today per her doctor. It’s now 5:42pm and we have been here since 12:00 pm. It is a complete shame on how they do their intake process is. They seem to break so many hippa laws I have heard everything that was going on with other patients. To add to this there was an elder lady that they were treating in the hall wall in between the door which is a fire hazard due to if the fire alarm goes off the doors should be able to automatically close.when there was a clear open spot while preforming her ekg that I’m sure we should have not seen as we were still waiting where was her privacy. This is something that should not occur. They take us to a bed where the curtain is soiled and chair is nasty there’s no privacy These are things that I’m aware of due to working in the medical field
Went with my sister who had a liver biopsy done. EVERYONE was so very nice, even to me, as a visitor. From the valet parking which was validated, the receptionist in the Interventional Radiology Dept, to all the nurses, assistants and Doctors. They were very attentive to my sister's needs and to me!. I felt they were very thorough and caring. Very easy access to the building. Thank you, Henry Ford Hospital, for your excellent patient care.
My Brother is in the ICU. The patient care is 5 star. Excellent staff. The patient family experience is a 0, not due to the staff, but in regards to the facilities. We are currently spending the night with him. The visitor lounge is only open 9-8, no exceptions. To use the bathroom we have to go to the first floor. The best they can give us at the bedside is a folding chair The room is small so I understand that. But the lounge being closed is absurd.
I wanted to say a great BIG THANK to the nurses on B1 Milo and Lilly who took care of my son. I live in Atlanta and my son was there for 5 days in the care of the nurses and doctors. I can't tell you how they made sure to keep me in the loop, never brushed me off with my many many calls and always took the time to explain things to be or to have the doctor's call me. Being away from your child while he isn't feeling well is already difficult, but thanks to God, the doctors and nurses who attended to him I felt at peace knowing he was in good hands. Words can't express how thankful I am, I hope that this review gets them the acknowledgement they deserve. Thanks for all you do! You are appreciated. You all were our Angels.
First off this hospital has the worst staff , the conditions of the emergency room are horrible. Nothing is clean , everything looks nasty to the point you barely want to sit down . They only have sheets up , barely hanging up where you can see the people on the other side No rooms for any one and barley any beds .they have sick people sitting in the hallway in wheelchairs . Staff just walking around like it's nothing to do . Hospital full and instead of sending people to another hospital they keep piling everyone up on each other , they dont care if your contagious or not .
My brother was scheduled for surgery 7/6 and it turned into a very long and stressful day in the Vascular Surgery area and waiting room! I'm thankful things worked out but I have to give a big thank you to some very special employees from the waiting room. Janet and Shawn were so helpful to my Mother and I, they are a true asset to the hospital and understand the emotions you go through when one of your loved ones are sick. They were a great help and so good at comforting a very nervous family. However, Valerie should not be working around patients or family members with her uncaring and cold attitude. Another big thank you to Dr Kabbani and Lisa for taking the time to answer our questions and to his Nurse Jason for all his hard work.
Drove 2 hours so my 5 year old could see an ENT only to be turned away because their worker put the wrong patient information in for the appointment. They somehow how had my oldest daughter scheduled instead of the 5 year old and instead of allowing the 5 year old to take the appointment they said we had to reschedule. It’s a name in the computer, same insurance that had already been verified so there was no reason to turn her away. They need to do better. I do not understand how I can make an appointment months in advance to be turned away due to their incompetence. My child has been suffering and they did not care. They were rude and extremely unhelpful. If you truly value you health and time go elsewhere. I’d give zero stars if I could.
I had surgery at Henry ford hospital downtown. My wife placed my iPhone on the bed next to me while she went to use the bathroom. I was on very high dozes of medications and slept. While my wife finished and came back, she did not fined the phone. She asked the nurses about it but she did not get any answer or even any concern. I know someone works at the hospital who stole my phone and it is so easy for them to find out who did it since we told them the time that my phone was gone by looking at the camera. My wife called today and she was told they call her back and the funny think they told her if they Dont find it the hospital will not pay for it. I don’t recommend this hospital at all. They are rude and unprofessional. It is very sad to have my phone stolen by their employee and they say they can’t do anything about it.
If you are looking for a new PCP, do not go to Henry Ford. I scheduled my annual physical since my old PCP from Beaumont moved. I thought everything was fine and covered until I received a bill from Henry Ford. They refused to code the appointment as my annual wellness check, but didn't disclose this until after billing my insurance for a new patient office visit. Now I have to cover the bill and Henry Ford will not correct the claim. I've moved quite a bit, so I'm used to seeing new providers and this is the first health system that has refused to let me become a new patient using my annual covered visit. I would have never kept the appointment if they told me they would not let it be my annual check-up. I will not be using Henry Ford again.
My mother was rushed here by ambulance over a year ago. She sat in the ER with a ruptured bowel not septic for almost 8 hours. That was not good but this is a hospital in the hood so that is expected. As soon as they knew what was going on, she was given top notch care. The gastro doctors and heart doctors have all been amazing. The nurses have all been friendly and professionally. The surgical waiting room is spacious, bending, ice machine, electric plugs and USB plugs all over. For food it's literally on and off the elevator so you won't get lost. The staff kept me updated all throughout the surgery. I definitely recommend Henry Ford hospital!
