I took off of work to bring medical records in to be transferred to the Georgia transcript and they told me I had to come back and get it. They called me to let me know they were available to the next day. I leave work and drive there to pick them up and because I got there at 4:50 they refused to give me the records because thet were getting ready to close the system down for the day. So now I basically have to leave work early in order to get the records because I have to get there before 4pm if I want them. This is so inconvenient. I was not told that to pick up the records I have to get there between 3pm and 4pm. And they could care less in there. This is no way to serve the public.
Incompetent. HIPPA violation within 10 minutes of our arrival. Gave our records to another client and couldn't retrieve them If you have to go there, double check everything, maintain records and pray for the best.
Very disheartening Walked in and front desk person found out 35min later she was office manager was helping a young lady and it appeared that she was being a little harsh-all I heard was just sit down and fill out the forms! My situation: I’m here for a 3230/3300 form for my child to attend high school! I stood at the front desk for like 10 minutes while the front desk lady was reviewing papers then had the audacity to answer the phone…. Ma’am I just need to make sure that I am in the right place for the 3 week appointment that we waited for. She hand me the clip board with a crass energy! The other lady who I spoke with called me as soon as I squatted on the chair lol! She explained that she called me back so she can check me out while I complete the paperwork-I so appreciate that…. But wait!! If I was a scam , if I only knew if you have UNITED HEALTH CARE-Delta>> which they don’t take, but the service is covered at your PC not the HEALTH Department. The total cost for 2 forms/ immunizations transferred and the ear/eye exam = $97!!! Whatttt- he has insurance through his dad! “Oh we don’t take it” Well is there a sliding fee scale for parents that can’t afford it? “ Um no we don’t have payment plans” Y’all……. My frustration level went from 3-23!!! I know better!! I use to work here!! I know if a parent is requesting assistance especially for a child to go to school—- there are resources. I came here with the expectations that I may pay a copay $10-$30!!! I asked can I speak to the manager!! Why y’all, remember the front desk lady came over and leaned across the desk “ yes ma’am how can I help you “? In my mind I was like OMGoodness this is not the professional person I wanted to talk to>> I quickly said NEVER mind!!! I said to the original lady I was working with this is unacceptable! She said wait one second. Y’all she came back 7 minutes later where I know she mentioned to this lady EVERYTHING I just said. The white lady said- “ how can I help you “? Ma’am I’m not about to repeat myself!! I made the original lady to explain everything …… guess what>>>> when I said Oh ok when I use to work here, if there was a parent that was expressing the need of assistance and needed some financial help with the bill we would offer a payment plan especially when it is regarding a child. You will NEVER guess what the white lady boss said out of her mouth? Yes, you’re right we can definitely set up a payment plan! I could have fallen on the floor! I gently said without scarcity -thank you! My 15 year old son witnessed the entire episode! The original lady kept saying I couldn’t make those types of decisions! … and I said I never asked you to make the decision but at least help me when I ask for help! Then she said ma’am do have the $7 for the form? I looked at her like girl bye-but I said yes I do. Now, When we got to the back! AMAZING!!! Mrs. Asharie was fun, professional and warm! This really helped end this unacceptable visit at Henry County Health Department. I search what is the purpose for Henry County Health Department >> Google said…. They inform, educate, and empower people about health issues.
These people are so slow and unprofessional.They have no sense of urgency and they don’t care about trying to get you out of there at a decent time.They will literally make you wait hours for service! All I needed was a form for my child school and I had to wait a hour!!! They were doing nothing but sitting at the window doing absolutely nothing! They all need to be fired.
The staff helped not only helped me but also provided great customer service in a timely manner.
I'm OTR Trucker, I was delivering a load in the area and had a few hours to spare. My apt was at 1:30 I arrived at 12:30. Knowing they were going to put me through the paperwork process. Now when I tell you they were more focused on what i make in a year then what i came for Baby.... i had to revisit the window twice there were a total of 6 people checking my income and my identity. I was amazed at how they could be so unprofessional. I did not get seen until 2:32 which was crazy how there were only 3 people ahead of me only there for wick. I hope I will never have to return.
The absolute worst. I have called the number listed over 30 times no exaggeration today. No one answers the phone and after 5-8 minutes the call hung up. These are some of the most unprofessional people I’ve ever seen in my life. I was off work today, so after unsuccessfully attempting to reach them by phone for over 6 hours I finally decided that I would get up and go up to the health department. I did everything that was asked of me regarding my vaccinations for school. Now that I’m up against a deadline I’m being told I have to call the appointment line and schedule for next month. Outright ridiculous! Is this what our tax dollars are paying for?
I would like to take a moment and acknowledge 2 hidden jewels within the HCHD. I would like to thank Nurse practitioner Sharon, and the amazing nurse Melanie, for their outstanding, professional, and knowledgeable service to the community. I would like to also thank the clerical and administrative staff for just simply doing the best they can. Public health is not an easy field; and I am truly thankful to have been able to interact with people who at the end of the day, showed a genuine interest in making sure I was seen. Your hard work does not go unnoticed, thank you for helping me when I needed it most.
Called last week to appointment line for covid vaccine, was told that would at Atlanta Motor Speedway and no appointment needed. But the day before January 11th its says by appointment only and no appointments available. Its still on line as no appointment needed, but totally unorganized fiasco. I am 76 yrs old and now who knows when or if I will get the vaccine
The WIC office is very slow. I go with my grandson and we always have to wait almost 3 hrs just to get his vouchers. They have no mindfulness to the fact that there are infants and child waiting this long.
