Herberger's

I like that this store is rather clean and organized inside. It has some name brands like you'd expect, just less of everything. The particular day I was there, the escalator was shut down, so we had to use the elevator. That's fine, I understand that breakdowns happen. But, the elevator seemed a little grimy, hot and creepy. The upstairs level was half empty and blocked off so I assume the store has cut down on their merchandise. The complete lack of customer service is what annoyed me the most. I saw employees meandering slowly about, but was never greeted. I shopped for the item I needed and at the time to check out, we waited quite awhile for the 2 gals to figure out a transaction with another customer. I and the other waiting customers definitely felt unimportant. A simple "we will be right with you" goes a long way. That's it. If I had been pleasantly greeted, offered help while shopping, and been made to feel more important at the time to check out, my review may have been 5 stars.

The discounts have increased again and the stock is selling fast. You had better rush in and grab your bargain while stock lasts. I was racially profiled. I was just in Herbergers 12/19/17 at 4:00 pm. I was with my mother, and we were shopping for perfume. We were still looking around but we had also came for a t shirt. I simply ask one of the older white ladies working if the men’s department was upstairs. She said to me , “you can’t take that upstairs. You have to buy it down here.” Ignoring my question and Referring to the box of perfume i was holding. Meanwhile my mother & i were not finished downstairs, i was only wondering. I personally believe i was racial profiled by this women. I set the perfume down so my mother and i could go upstairs to get the t shirt we can for. We come back downstairs to buy the perfume. At that time i walk past the lady, she proceeds to ask if i was ready to buy it. I told her no. She then said “you can’t take that.” As i wasn’t even thinking of that. I was looking for more perfume. She followed me to the register was where my mom was already checking out but claimed she was going to work. I literally was in a screaming match with the woman over me carrying the perfume around the perfume section. Not once did i leave that section or even look suspicious! I will never go back and if you’re black i wouldn’t recommend going.

Seriously the worst service I have experienced in my life. I just walked out of there in complete shock. I went to the Clinique counter because I needed assistance. The woman was rude, short, and cold. She was not good at selling the product, customer service or remotely helpful. I had questions and she cut me off and walked away. I am is disbelief. I will never return. I have never had bad service with Clinique before. But if these are the kind of representatives they have for their products and the experience they give I will not be buying the product again or returning to this store. STAY AWAY ALL.

I've been shopping at this Herberger's location for years because of its excellent sales associates. I did intensive shopping in three different visits last week entailingmany returns and new purchases complicated transactions. All of the associates in Women's Moderate & Better were superb---not only competent but made me welcome and conveyed they were happy to be of service. And, all this occuring in what is likely the busiest weeks of the year. I tell everyone I know to head for the Midway location.

Pricey but à great store and great sales. Whenever I go to Herbergers I feel a little classy. Everything is cleanly and meticulously laid out in classic tradition of the big department store. The high ceilings and other beautiful touches make you feel special shopping there. I don't usually shop at Herbergers except for sales, but at Christmas time, I want to make sure to find presents that won't be returned.

Better get whatever you can! The stores will close in a couple days. But the prices are unbeatable and if you've ever wanted a mannequin here's your chance!

I have shopped the Midway store due to the exceptional service for years. I believe the sales woman's name was Leah - just look for a lovely woman with the colorful hair accessories and she will go out of her way to help you find what you need and help you to use your coupons as effectively as possible to get you the best deals. She is FABULOUS and a true gem! One morning I was called in for an interview that afternoon. So, I ran to Herbergers to update my makeup. I was assisted by a lovely girl at the Estee Lauder makeup counter who not only tastefully made me over with a professional look but she suggested products that would compliment the items I currently use. I did not feel like I was being pushed into buying products I wouldn't use. I left the store with a very professional look and I got the job! I would not hesitate to recommend Herbergers Midway to my friends and family. I hope Herbergers recognizes the value of their exceptional employees because I do.

I feel like Herberger's Midway has a smaller Juniors section than other Herberger's stores but I still love coming here. I appreciate that the employees don't continuously approach me but are nearby if I should need them.

Big store, not alot of open check outs . TONS of yellow dot items so always good selection of items. Store is ALWAYS a mess. Cashiers are rude & are untrained. Barely speak English
