They over priced everything, store is definitely not in good shape. But it had a good run, goodbye Kmart. 20% off doesn't even do anything to everything must go, just takes out $10. Not even worth buying on closing.
Ever wanted to experience a hellish shopping experience? This is just the place! Don't give this place a shred of your hard earned money and just drive the extra 10 minutes to a decent department store. They're dirty, unorganized, unprofessional, and SLOW. I came in with my allergies on the fritz so I find my medication within 3 minutes and proceed to wait in line. I LITERALLY waited for so long that my itchy eyes, runny nose, and cough went away. Hope this location gets shut down like the rest of them and a retailer like Walmart or Target comes in to replace them. The East Side could really use a proper department store.
An absolute dumpster fire of a store. A complete and total waste. Inside and out. Dilapidation and neglect in every corner. Never have I ever seen a retail store in such disgusting shape. I cannot even believe that any corporate retailer anywhere in the US would allow such a miserable place to even exist. Management and the franchise ownership should be horribly embarrassed. Actually watched a customer, an adult woman, push and shove the product information off of a washer/dryer display... right onto the floor. Only then to walked over to a bicycle, to start riding it up and down the aisle. I mean seriously?!? Is this real life?!?
They had a sign up for their fritos chips 2/5. Before totaling my transaction I asked Omar the cashier if he made sure that they rang up as 2/$5 and he said yes. Once he handed me the receipt it was rang up at full price. Omar told me to go talk to an Asian girl cashier. She didn’t know what to do and another young man walked me over to customer service. Foos was her name and she was VERY RUDE. She refused to honor the price THEY HAD DISPLAYED themselves and refused to refund me the difference. She refunded both the items and was not helpful at all. This is the worst customer service I’ve experienced. This is disappointing especially since I’ve worked and managed retail for over 6 years myself. There is nothing they can offer me or apologize enough to change my mind. GHETTO AND UNPROFESSIONAL
Went back today to return a craftsman tool set I purchased last week and first off let me tell you that I now know why Kmart is going under. It’s the rude and poor choice of staff. The lady at the return booth is the worst customer service employee I have ever encountered. I used to work in retail and I would never raise my voice to a customer let alone yell across the store like she did when I proved her wrong. She was literally trying to argue with me that she was the one who rang up my purchase last time I was in. Then shouted at my buddy across the store checking out at the register and asked if she was the cashier that night as he was also there the night I made the purchase. Having proven her wrong her demeanor changed and she became even more rude. What happened to the saying the customer is always right? She was literally proven wrong on top of it. She can go down with the rest of Kmart when they go out of business and then have her time to ponder why she no longer has a job. Good job Kmart for providing once again a horrible experience and effectively losing another non returning paying customer!
I don't understand why the cashiers have to be so slow at ringing customers out. The register I went to told me that I should go to a different register.??? Went to a different registers all had lines. I had to put all my items away and walk out. Workers their need to be more better at a reasonable pace. Need more workers. Will not come here again. Please have better customer service. Thank you.
One of the few Kmarts left. Store shows its age, but still has a decent selection of stuff. Waiting in the checkout lines can take FOREVER and is the main reason I don't go here as often as I could.
DONT EVER COME TO SHOP HERE, EVER! Slowest cashier ever! Especially when it’s busy af and ONLY 2 LANE IS OPEN! We went there to buy my brother a watch and the cashier didn’t notice the alarm on the watch and when I mention it to the cashier. He didn’t know what to do and spend almost 5 mins talking to other cashier about the alarm device. So after 5 mins! They came back and said they couldn’t take off the alarm because they don’t know how to take it off plus the “gun” to take off the alarm wasn’t working. So they told us that we just have to wire cutt it when we get home or something !!!???? I’m so confused??? Like.. WHY ? Just why? Would you .. whaaat??! I’m just so confused right now. Which overall is so stupid! Ugh! Hate this place and never coming back here to shop!
I shop Kmart periodically when I really don't feel like running to Walmart cuz I live closer to Kmart. Ive noticed that they've been pretty well stocked with the cat litter I prefer more than Walmart lately and decided I'd just go there for cat food litter and the few taxable stuff I normally get. For the first time in a couple years. As I'm walking down isles I'm noticing that they've jacked up their prices quite a bit since I was shopping there regularly. What's up with that??? I ended up having to go to Walmart anyway cuz they didn't have the hand lotion I like. As I'm seeing items that Kmart also sells , I noticed prices were definitely lower. I just don't get it cuz the Kmart off Maryland and 35 is definitely not in a high buck area and the store is pretty run down. They definitely aren't Macy's or Kohl's!!! But as I'm sitting here typing this I'm thinking it's got to be because of all the dumbasses stealing from there. People....if ya can't afford to pay for it then keep ur freaking hands off. geez
Went up to a lady at the customer service register to pick up an online order. She seemed annoyed, did not smile at me, did not greet me, and proceeded to stick her ear out at me as a gesture to tell me to start talking. I was directed to pick up my order from one of the cash registers, which was very inconvenient because I had to wait in line for people getting their things checked out, and I also had to hold up the line to get my order while the people behind me were waiting to get checked out.
