Herbert H Dow Historical Museum

Free museum that features two main halls. The first one is WWII and is a nice tribute to the locals that fought in the war. The second hall is if I understand correctly a floating exhibit. I saw exhibits about the local community theater and found it to be charming. Docent was very friendly. Plan on 20-30 minutes. Worth a stop.

Such an informative place to step back in history and learn more about the local area and people that shaped Midland to what it is today! Dale and Jean were a joy to speak with and are very knowledgeable. Good place to spend time while supporting something so important.

Small collection of Midland's and surrounding west Texas area pictures, furniture, clothes, toys, and other memorabilia housed in a metal frame warehouse. Check out the replica of a skull fragment of "Midland Man" - actually a female's - found south of Midland and said to be about 10,000 years old. The museum is free. Friendly museum guide. Plenty of parking. Look for it adjacent to the county library.

I really enjoyed it but it's alot smaller than I thought.

This was very interesting to check out. We will definitely be back to bring my kids
