Heritage Boot is creating authentic western boots, using the best European leathers and often genuine retro patterns from the "Glory Days of Bootmaking" 1930s - 1960s. We create our boots in a small, third generation family factory in central Mexico and ship them to our store in Austin. Heritage Boot is the only place to buy "the best damn boots on the planet".

As a native austinite, I was looking for a quality real leather soled boot here in austin. A quick google search made me aware of heritage and i was struck immediately by the vintage style and beautiful branding. Upon making it into the store the salespeople are some of the kindest supportive people you could hope for. Happily paid for my forever boots and couldn’t be happier with the comfort or quality. Do yourself a favor and get some of the “best damn boots” i’ve ever worn.
Outstanding store with some of the most courteous sales staff I've ever encountered; even my 18-month old daughter was treated with kindness! I mainly worked with Kimber, who was incredibly patient while I tried on many different boots including different pairs of the same model in the same size until I found the perfect fit. I absolutely LOVE the boots I bought at Heritage Boot Co., but even more than that, I appreciated the way they treated me and my small family while we were there. I'll definitely be back.
I’m not always the type to leave a review, but sometimes a product or experience is so memorable that it’s worth sharing. In this case, both the product, and the experience with the staff were outstanding. I was in Austin to play some shows in March of this year and was hunting for a pair of boots on South Congress for my wedding coming up. I went in all three popular boot stores in the area, and by comparison was very drawn to this place. I didn’t make a purchase on my first visit but was greeted by an extremely knowledgeable staff who if I’m not mistaken either shares commissions or works on a different payment structure altogether I ended up going back two more times before my tour was over and had the exact pair of boots figured out. Although every single boot fit like a glove and flexed in the right places, I ended up with a pair of tawny Caiman boots with the snip toe. I definitely recommend trying their boots on in person, as I’m up to an 11.5 in some other brands but a 10 here did the trick just fine. This is something the staff seems to be pretty insistent of as well. Only downside to all of this is I’m afraid my wife will need a pair next time we’re in Austin. Thanks again y’all!
I finally made it to Heritage Boot and had an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, we received friendly service. Alison was incredible and helped me pick out my first pair of Heritage boots. These are the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever put on my feet. Special thanks for the hospitality and friendly service at Heritage Boot!
I can't believe the quality of boots they make for such a cheap price. And customer service was second to none. They actually are excited about their own boots when you call them. Thank you Kimber and crystal! The pics on three website don't do the boots justice.
The owner the dude in the cowboy attire whispered something to one of the girls working there, and she says back out loud “I know, they shouldn’t even be here”. Then the worker comes to us and tell us not to touch the boots. Congratulations on not being able to contain your bigotry even while operating in downtown Austin.
Ordered from out of state. Look good online but just OK in person. Definitely not worth the price. Uncomfortable and run small. Also, terrible buying experience, unknowledgeable sales person, and don't cover return shipping on 1400 dollar boots. Get your exotics somewhere else.
Just the very best boots money can buy. Whether stopping in to their store in Austin, or ordering via phone or text, they will take good care of you and make sure the absolute masterpieces you buy will be a perfect fit. Beware though, these boots are so beautiful, they will become highly addictive, but well worth it. Friendliest and most helpful staff you’ll encounter!
You walk to the store and see a sign of not being able to touch the boots. The employees are not rude to me like in previous post but they sure did put down my Lucchese boots telling me it wasn't as custom as theirs. Lucchese is made in Texas and does offer custom made boots in the $100s range to one into $20,000 hand made for the customer with their measurements and leathers they pick - Heritage boots does not have this option. The hubris of the lady who helped me was a huge turn off. They would not let me touch the boot until I was given it to try on. This is absolutely absurd as I've been to high end stores with boots well over $2000+ and even touched the $20,000 Lucchese boots as mentioned before. It was a huge turn off from the beginning, and honestly except for a boot or two, it didn't feel like the $850-$1350 price tag was worth it when I saw similar exotic skins in Black Jack brand boots at another boot store who is as custom as Heritage claims but makes them in Texas as they do not. Also with more options of exotic skins. Definitely shop around, and I would have taken photos of my experience but also the sign walking to the store also stated no photos.
Waited a long time to get my latest pair of boots. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff helped me find the boots that were the perfect style and fit for me. The McQueen was the one. Love them and have received countless compliments already.
