Heritage Chapel is possibly the most beautiful funeral homes I have ever seen. The people who we worked with there were professional, caring and took such good care of us and our loved one who had passed. The whole process of planning during such a difficult time was made so much easier by everyone at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home.
Michael Stewart and his team at Heritage Chapel are amazing at what they do. They were very caring and helpful while presenting all our options and helped us make the right choice for our family. They did a wonderful job arranging the visitation space with photographs, items that represented my father's life and hobbies, and even having packages of his favorite candies available for guests to have his favorite treats. Everything exceeded our expectations, and I would definitely recommend them.
Mr. Michael Stewart, the manager/funeral director of Heritage Chapel Funeral Home in Tuscaloosa, AL, is, in my opinion and the opinion of my family, outstanding. He is the kind of manager/director that a family hopes for in their time of sadness and great need. For my wife's funeral, Michael and his staff made sure that every wish of the family was addressed. They were there for me and each member of my family at every turn, always asking what more they could do to make the process easier for us. Michael on numerous occasions went out of his way to make sure that my wife's Celebration of Life Service met the family's every wish. Every detail was carried out almost to perfection. And, most importantly, these details were addressed in a genuinely caring and compassionate manner. Of this I was not surprised because I came to know that Mr. Stewart and those under his direction are truly caring and compassionate individuals. I feel so very grateful to have had Michael and his staff on my side during this most difficult time. He is, in my opinion, one of the very best mangers/directors that the funeral industry could hope to have. I got the impression from our very first meeting that being a manager/funeral director was not just a job, but rather a 'true calling'. Mr. Stewart is truly special, as is every member of his staff. I will be forever grateful to Michael and his staff for their attention to detail and their unwavering support through this most challenging time.
During a time of sorrow and loss , our family was treated with upmost respect and sympathy. All communication was professional and yet caring . We were carried through every phase of this process with such care and dignity. I am very thankful to Mike Stewart and his team for easing us through every detail from start to finish and even following up to see if we needed anything . Thank you for guiding us through this difficult time .
The experience that our family had with the Heritage Chapel Funeral Home staff was excellent in all phases of the planning process. Mike Stewart, Emily, Stan, and Frederick handled every detail of our loved one’s funeral service in a very professional, yet compassionate manner, relieving us of the emotional stress that comes with such an event. Extraordinary support in planning the service from Minnesota to Alabama, and thereafter in executing the memorial event, was outstanding. The accessibility and communications with the funeral Director, Michael Stewart, was both compassionate and continuous. Support from staff, including Ken Spencer and Emily Sonneland, was equally helpful.
Seven months ago April 8th 2019 my brother and I walked into Heritage Chapel Funeral Home heartbroken and lost. We didn’t know what we were doing or where to even start. Michael Stewart, Sherri and the rest of the staff welcomed us and walked us through step by step. They were kind, patient and very helpful. Not one time did we feel like we were being pressured into buying anything. They took the time to learn about our Dad so that his service would be personalized to him perfectly and it was. Yes, I realize that this is their job but I feel like they went above and beyond. Their attention to detail and how they were able to pull it all together in a short amount of time was impressive. Our family was so pleased with the care and personal service we received from Heritage Chapel staff. The funeral service for my husband's Mother was done with such beauty and dignity. Danae at Heritage Chapel suggested we have a celebration of life for our loved one. It was a perfect celebration of her life. Heritage helped us with the celebration by having the service then a catered meal where all the family and friends could sit around tables and discuss the fond memories. Thank you Heritage staff for all your patience and thoughtful ideas as we celebrated the long life of our loved one.
From start to finish Mike Stewart and his staff did an excellent job taking care of our family's needs. and all the many details associated with the burial process. Our family was most comforted knowing this and highly recommend Heritage Chapel when your need for burial services arises.
