"Shelby Township’s beautiful Heritage Garden is located behind the Municipal Offices at 52700 Van Dyke Avenue, east side, south of 24 Mile Road. The Garden runs adjacent to a 2 1/2 acre spring-fed lake and are surrounded by ornate wrought iron fencing. Completed as part of the Shelby Township Bicentennial Committee project in 1975, the Heritage Garden is available to reserve on an hourly basis for wedding ceremonies, wedding photos, family photos and more. An attendant is scheduled during reserved times to ensure that only the contractor and their designated party members will be permitted into the garden."

Honestly it's a a beautiful place with multiple facilities, rentable pavilion, more than one park, fishing spots, and a wonderful garden to walk through when it's open. Playground: More than one playground, and one is off to the side and out of the way from some of the bustle. Shaded too. Restrooms: Restrooms available inside the concession stand building near the gate to the heritage garden. Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly, poop bag stations are placed around but might not always be stocked. Plenty of garbage bins. Maybe bring some water though. Picnic area: Multiple different areas, at least one pavillion is reservable and had a grill.
A tranquil experience with water features, fish jumping, squirrels running about. A quiet place to appreciate the nature that exists all around us. Places to sit along the way. Good parking access. Restrooms: Large, clean restrooms, are inside the Shelby Township Municipal building, on the lower floor.
We had our wedding ceremony there. Beautiful little park, easy and low budget ceremony spot! You will get a staff member that makes sure that you and your guest will be the only one in the marked area. Beautiful spot for taking pictures as well!

Well it was an unplugged ceremony. So we didn't get any pictures. But I did get this one of my daughter getting ready to get married
I love Herritage Gardens. It's a beautiful well kept place and friendly people and beautiful landscaping.
This park is well maintained. The new dock areas are designed to accommodate access for fishing and enjoying the area.
Nice place to take pics! Lots of different areas to pose at with beautiful backgrounds! We did prom pics here. Also, I saw a wedding party
Wow! I love this place. Wheel chair assessable path with several large decks over the pond. Lots of ducks and some geese swimming around. I can't wait to see this place in the spring!
Nice small park with garden and a small pond. Lot of ducks and geese. Lot of parking around, easy access and to spot from road.
