Herrema's Food Market

Great little grocery store that has a great hometown feel. The people are always friendly, good produce section and bakery, and great donuts as well.

Used to love shopping here. Had a family run atmosphere. Prices good or comparable. Since ownership has changed hands prices very high. No longer do big shops here.

Decent store, right around the corner so it's convenient. Prices are a lot higher than big box retailers. Their price was $2.89 while WMart was $1.70 for the same item. Family-size cereal is about $2 more a box.

Awesome place. But a little word of advice ..when cutting liverwurst, use a knife, instead of a slicer.. the casing was all in the wrust, easily a choke hazzard.. and separate.. was mush .. 7 dollars in trash..

Maybe a little higher in price but great people there and it’s a throwback to the old neighborhood store that is enjoyable

Herrema's used to be the place for us Lakesiders. Jack must be rolling in his grave for what they have done. The friendly atmosphere is no more. So so sad.

Gotta love a still alive and thriving independent grocery store. Type of place where the employees get to know your name and let you know that your favorite soda is on sale. Type of place you can get customer service bat the customer service desk! Unbelievable, I know... If I hadn't seen it myself, I'd think I was a liar, too . Hot tip. Try the "White Birch Beer" soda. Like Root Beer but better. I'm now a full blown addict. It's soda! Just a joke Support your local grocer!

Great store, great feel. It’s a shame that most people don’t support their local stores enough. In my years of shopping at the store with my mother, we have only ever had one issue. They have a great array of products, and even the off-brand is good. They carry products from around the area, cashiers are efficient, and baked goods are delicious.

I really like Herrema's. They have nice desserts - which my mother enjoys more than Wegmans eclairs. They have a great lasagna in the deli. They sell rotisserie chicken for $5.99 - I think the same cost as Wegs, and tastes great. I find their prices are fine. People compare it to Wegmans, but I don't find Wegmans all that cheap - where you can but a ready-made Caesar salad for $10!!! Its just lettuce, a few croutons and dressing - for $10. And a turkey sandwich for $10 as well. That's expensive when you can make both for about $1.50. Herrema's has the varieties that Wegmans doesn't have. They have Cheesie Eddies Cheescake. They have like over 15 varieties of Hungry Man frozen dinners - whereas Wegs has 3 varieties - and very rarely have the Turkey dinner in stock. Its a nice alternative that you should explore.

A taste of yesterday still exist! The grocer kept what was many years ago, and flavored the store with upgrades! Still can find a lot of good buys here without having to go to the chain supermarkets. The grocers are always helpful & friendly. Just a overall pleasant experience.
