Ants all over the kitchen in our cabin! My daughter and I joined other family member this year to have a fun relaxing get away. We stayed in a two bedroom cabin with a kitchen. We purchased some lovely pastries items that we were looking forward to for breakfast but when we woke up in the cabin there were ants all through our box and all over the kitchen counter. It was NASTY! I videoed the hundreds of ants running all over the kitchen so I could show the staff how nasty this was. I understand that things like this can happen but all I asked for was the park to pay for our pastries. We were with three families and we all truly questioned the customer service. It was amazing how the staff made this out to be my fault for bring in food. For goodness sakes it you offer a kitchen why wouldn't you expect customers to bring in food. The Hershey Park was amazing but do not stay in these cabins. BUGS!
Nice and quiet. $4.99 bag of ice. No seating in laundry area. All the toilets in bath house not bolted to the floor. Trains come by frequently and if your site is near the tracks you’re in for a real thrill. Otherwise nice and would stay again.
My husband and I stayed 11.25-11.27.22 Holiday Weekend Clean and Quiet. Yes there is an active train track nearby but it never disturbed us. Our site was level with plenty of room between neighboring campers. We had a blast and look forward to returning.
Had such a good time. Originally came here to go to Hershey park. But they are closed during the week this time of year. All my fault they clearly stated that when I booked it as well as the water being shut off for winter. Still had a great time. Super friendly and helpful staff, and clean bathrooms, outdated but clean. We stayed in carrousel circle which was good distance from the train and super level. Overall will definitely be back.
The entire campground is gravel, which will get into everything you own. The trees are pretty, but if you have a satellite dish or star link good luck as there's a lot of obstruction. The sewer drain has some weird slow drain to it that if you drain too quickly it will flow back out of a pipe to the side. If noise bothers you when you're sleeping, there's a train that comes through about every 2 hours 24/7 maybe more frequently. The camp store is nice for souvenirs, but there's not much in the way of food or supplies. Sites are a little difficult to maneuver if you have a larger rig... Staff is super sweet, friendly, and helpful at the campground. The front desk does their best to accommodate. The arcade is fantastic and you can actually win prizes with the games you play.
Its winter camping so the room is my very nice camper. The staff was polite, friendly responsive and they keep a clean park. They offer more practical services in winter than our yearly site does in season. Had a great time it's nice to get out and camp.Rooms: 5/5
Was there Sept. 5 to 12, 2022. A very nice and clean camp ground. Every kind of camping; tent to RV to travel homes to cabins. Bath houses are clean. Laundry rooms. Variety of things to do and see within driving distance. Staff are welcoming to everyone.
Didn't get to experience the campground too much as we were very busy. Has a nice pool a few playgrounds a general store and clean bathrooms. My two complaints are the tent sites are too open there were like two trees for 10 sites. Also you had to be quiet by 10:00 but the train the train had no time limit, that thing with bulldoze through at 2:00 a.m.
There's basically no room between you and the other campers. The campground is righ on the side of the highway. The noise from the train is 24/7 every hour on the hour. They always close the arcade room one hour before it is supposed to close and they offer no explanation. The people working there are very nice. The noise and cramped spaces make your stay there terrible! Don't waste your money.
The camper site was good. The spot was a little small but we did not spend much time at the campground. The shuttle to and from the park was a lifesaver and let us skip the hour-long lines. Also the reptile show presented at the campground was great.
