I came to rent a car, having pre-booked a month in advance on the website. Before that I read reviews about this place and didn't save the whole night because I had to travel with a small child and two dogs from Boston to Seattle. I don't speak English at all and I thought that would be a problem. There was a girl behind the counter who handled this flow of people very quickly. Customers would come in to pick up their car, customers would come in to drop off their car. She was doing the paperwork and in between she had time to stagger the cars. It was my turn and I used the online translator on my phone. A lot of surprises were ahead of me, my credit card with a positive balance refused to write off money from the limit, the bank said that the card is not blocked, calls to the bank, friends, acquaintances. In between customers and picking up cars, she continued to counsel us constantly and help us find a way out of the situation. Now we are all together here in Seattle and it's all thanks to Wossen Gebeyehu. Thank you so much for your help and patience, if it wasn't for you we wouldn't have left

was made to wait more than an hour for the car i rented, everyone else who came after me got their car first. when i asked the staff for an update on when my car would be ready, nobody could tell me anything and straight up blamed me for "sticking to my choice of car". just because i did not pay extra for an upgrade i have to wait? what kind of logic or reasoning is that? hertz should look into this abysmal and terrible customer service, safe to say i will not be returning here ever. :

Exceptional service!   After missbooking our car rental pick up time,  Doug went above and beyond to help us get a car and continue on our way to Portland, Maine.  We thought our vacation was ruined, but in a matter of less than thirty minutes, Doug had us on our way.  We are very thankful!

The Staff here are very friendly and polite.  My experience was good with the company, I wish AAA had told me there would be a 500 dollar hold on my debit card with a 1 day rental.  The car had some shifting issues automatic, yet with a sport mode, I'm guessing some one used it incorrectly at some point, I did not use the sport mode half shifter at all, only drove it fully automatic.  It was not my style, plus consumed way too much gas yet it was a full size and the price was ok.

Janelle D. was extremely pleasant to work with. She was energetic, and made the rental experience easier and more efficient than most all other service locations I've come across.

This location of Hertz Somerville Boston  is hopeless. Staff is hopeless,  cars are dirty, long long long wait times for picking up car. Online systems give booking for this location but when you go for pickup, they dont have cars.. cannot take car from here even if its for free

We booked weeks in advance, prepaid, and they called me hours before the pick up date to tell me they have no cars!!!! Second time this happens

The staff were friendly, but they had almost no cars. I asked for an economy car and ended up with a big gas guzzler. I also had to wait an additional 20 min.

I just rented a car to their shop and i told them to tell me exact amount of the whole week and after I dropped the car off they charged me extra fees completely unnecessary, they lied to me and i will never rent a car there , please be advised to ask before you rent at them

I had an excellent experience with the Somerville Hertz. There were no 7 passenger SUVs available at the airport so I picked up from this location and dropped off at the airport. One of the team members, Brian, was incredibly helpful. I called to ask about car seat availability. Brian gave me the brand and model so we could verify whether one of my children would fit in a seat or booster. I ended up needing another booster which they did not have. Brian said he would call other locations to see if he could find one. Within minutes he called back - he had found a booster and arranged to go pick it up from the other location to bring to Somerville to be ready for my arrival. He went above and beyond my expectations. When I got to the location they had also upgraded my vehicle. It was a little tricky maneuvering the actual location's parking lot, but other than that minor detail I had a great experience at this Hertz.
