Received amazing service from an employee named Kalan. He was the only one working on a Saturday. Despite a long line in front of him he was kind, and professional. He maintained the same energy with each person he served. I am not sure why management would only schedule one employee on a Saturday though, I waited over an hour to get my rental. When I emailed the manager to inform him of the excellent service from his employee and the long wait time I never heard back. The service I received from the employee deserves 5 stars otherwise.
My husband and I went to pick up our rental about 30 mins early, when we entered into the office we were greeted by the customer service rep. There was an older man who was upset because there was a 200$ hold on his car for a deposit, so for whatever reason he felt the need to be very disrespectful and rude to the young female Hertz rep. and she remained calm;polite and respectful. It was sad but comical to witness a grown man act like a child while the complete opposite was the mature adult. We ended up waiting a little past our booked appointment which was not her fault...Ms.Ambrose was very apologetic, she offered us a free upgrade and we did appreciate the offer but had to decline because of personal reasons. We were just happy to see that there is hope for the younger generation.
I rented a car from here and about an hour later there was something wrong with it. Called the place and brought it back which was Miles and Miles Away at this point. They made me put gas in it even though I never would have had to travel back that way and then they were going to have me bring it the same time as originally in the morning a week later which at this point picking up the second car it was in the latest afternoon. Luckily I contacted the manager that following Monday and they reimburse me for the gas and also I could bring the car at the time the second car was picked up. The manager also had no idea why the gentleman had me bring it all the way back to that location when the town I was in when the car was having an issue had a Hertz. I give it three stars because the manager did make amends.
There is a bit of an issue with the website. Getting sent in a loop only to call the 800 number to go around in circles in a loop to then be hung up on. If you call the local number to the local Hertz office near you, you get sent to the same terrible loop that the 800 number leads you to.
Worst customer service. Husband called multiple times and was put on hold only to never be answered. Car smelled so badly of cigarettes. Took unauthorized payment from my bank account. Would never use them again or recommend them. To be honest I’d give them a negative star on rating
The rental car they gave me had an inspection sticker that was expired for 11 MONTHS; I didn’t notice at the time I picked up the car. I actually got pulled over for it, luckily the cop was understanding and didn’t give me a ticket. I call the next morning and leave a message, no call back. I go back in to exchange it the following morning, and they kept me sitting there for over 45 MINUTES for a new car, making me very late for work. The guy working the counter was kind, but that’s the only positive thing I can say about all of this. I’ve rented many cars across the country, and I’ve never seen anything like this. Stay clear of Hertz! Do not rent a car from them. Go with Avis or someone else.
Very unprofessional! From start to finish. Tried it for first time and all i can say is wow ... Dont know how they ever got a good review from the way they treated my wife on phone and charged her without permission
Poor service in the fact that a car was promised that they aren't even able to get at this office and then a return call was also promised and I didn't get one. Charged for a full size car and since they didn't have any I got a mid size car and they wouldn't refund money.
Horrible if i could give it 0 stars i would , wasted hours there after i was told i was all set the day before , next day went in got a call said it was going to be an extra 18 dollars a day . i drove back and doped the car off and went some were else and was treated 100 percent better .. STAY AWAY
