I rent here virtually once a month, and have never had any real issues to speak of.  The staff are super kind, and I've always been helped in a pinch if/when necessary.  Occasionally, one of their Teslas is lower than 100% charge when picking up, but I don't really care because it doesn't impact my short mileage needs; however, if someone is renting a Tesla and is going to be driving a long distance, I'm sure it might be a little inconvenient.  I think this place used to be a little short-staffed, but it doesn't seem like it anymore, so any previous issues with people being present during business hours are probably remedied.  I will continue renting here always.  Thank you to the staff who work here and make my renting always a pleasant experience!

Rented a tesla for 1 day booked at $80/day, the receipt shows $85/day. I have to charge it to 100%, it takes an hour, plus I drive to return the car, so obviously it won't be at 100% charge. Final bill for 24+5 hrs of rental time really 4 driving hours used = $330.00, yes, you read that correctly, $330.00.  BUYER BEWARE. The additional charges, fees, and inconvenience is obscene. You would think a two day rate at what was promoted at $80/day would be at most $200... no, $330. I called customer service, and was told that they can't do anything. Lost a customer.

Rude, condescending and incompetent.  My insurance company made a reservation for 12/06/22.  Hertz send me a text message, asking me me for start date which I replied to correctly.  The rude woman tells me that the reservation is for 12/16.  I tell that I confirmed the date on the text message.  She wasn't even aware of the text messaging system.  I asked what's the point of reserving the cars if you don't actually reserve them.  After some back and forth, she CURSED at me, I just hung up and ended up renting from Enterprise, that actually had customer service.

This is an outstanding location and the people are all professional and friendly. This is Hertz Local Edition so it doesn't have a huge inventory of cars and people that you would expect at an airport or train location. Still the people here do an outstanding job juggling cars and reservations, and keeping the cars clean and staying friendly. I find it amusing when some customers rock up expecting Ultimate Choice!!  They are in a new location in the Marriott garage so a little hard to find until they get new signs up.

The service is excellent and professional, the car is in as-new condition and exceptionally clean. This is the best location my wife and I have ever rented a car from, and we have rented cars all over Europe and on the US east coast. It is clear that cleanliness is a priority here. It's a priority for us, too. We have been so pleased with the service and the car that we have extended our rental for another month. Thanks Dylan and colleague.

Very unprofessional at the Stamford location!! The girl is nasty and the guy there had no idea what the policy rules were. I left without the rental I booked-  they had accepted it from 10 hours prior. It wasn’t until after I refused a $500 security deposit that they all of the sudden came up with the rule that you need to book a reservation at least 24 hours in advance. He had my debit card and a set of keys in his hand- ready to violate the “24 hour policy” if I hadn’t refused to pay. They make up the rules as they go apparently. Never again.

Attention!  This location at west Main Street does not exist and Hertz somehow has not deleted it from their website.  The correct location is at the parking garage adjacent to the Marriott in downtown Stamford.

I had such a bad experience at this place when I was booked a car for driving to airport. I was almost losing my flight because I had to walk back home and get an Uber. The customer service is the worst I’ve even experienced to the extend that was crying when I left. The person who sits behind the desk and told me that he is the supervisor or manager treats everyone like a criminal.  Also watch out because what you order to rent online is never the available car at the shop. I didn’t know this at the time, but Enterprise us a block away. Next time I went there and with a much cheaper price because they had good inventory and really nice customer service rented cars for many occasions. Don’t waist your time at this place. Specially if the time is critical.

Rented a car for Christmas holiday. No car. Told me to come back next week. I was told they have 27 reservations that they have no cars for. Unprofessional

This business on Tresser Boulevard in Stamford, CT is hard to find. We had to do some exploring on foot to find the spot for us to return the vehicle we'd rented. But other than that, I had no complaints.
