service by libirato was good but not from the manager roberto, who i found was lacking customer service skills and was abrupt, he was more interested in making me angry & attempting to charge me £110 plus admin £45 for the small scratch on the rim. also did not mention that bringing back the polestar with less than 20% in the battery will cost a low battery fee of £18. paid £37 initially to cover the battery charge prior to taking the car, teied charging me £51 for battery charge after returning. truely truely disappointed with hertz rental. but alas hertz have decided not to charge me for the scratch to the rim after appealing. thank you hertz.

Excellent experience. The car was almost brand new. They ensured it was clean when I picked it up. Customer service was also fantastic. Roberto at the front desk was friendly and did an exceptional job in making sure I was in and out in no time. Thank you so much.

Deeply frustrating. They didn’t have the car we reserved so they offered a prestige vehicle which meant an ev. We, having just arrived in the country and assuming they knew what they were doing, said that was fine, not realizing that the rest of our trip would now revolve around finding chargers and waiting ages for it to charge. We had to plan our day around this car. We had to get different apps, put money on an app for a charger that never worked, call Hertz for help response was unhelpful - “go find another charging station” - but there were only two in the whole area where we were staying. Go elsewhere.

Renting with Hertz Boad Street Manchester was a delight.  Pickup and drop-off were sub-10 minutes each. Any confusions were graciously clarified.  Roberto, who greeted us for pickup and was present on drop-off, was especially helpful and welcoming. Roberto went the extra mile at any opportunity, including before pickup.  I rented an electric vehicle for 4 days and drive cross-country and back. The charging terms were made clear. It is recommended you charge it up before returning as the KWh rate at superchargers is over half the price of the "recharge service" kWh rate full charge @ ~£45 Vs £90 using the service. I felt comfortable with just the lower excess package that brings down the excess to £500.  My only negative feedback would be relating to the parking entrance/exit being very narrow and uncomfortable to leave and enter as well as signage to the office being unclear from the road itself.  I highly recommend using Hertz Boad Street for your future car rental and plan to do so myself due to their friendliness and competitive rates.

Awful experience, avoid this hertz, Roberto the manager had a shocking attitude. I’d booked a car for two days, I use hertz all the time, in fact I had a car with them two days prior. When I arrived they needed to do some security to show I am registered to the address on my licence. It came back failed, even though it said on it that my electoral, bills and registered address matched the one on my licence. It claimed on their new system that I had ‘gone away’. I explained that I worked abroad a lot but apart from that I don’t know why it was showing that.  I had my bank statements and also dvla check code, alongside my electoral register that states I live at the address on the licence.  He claimed that he couldn’t rent me a car because it says ‘gone away’ on their new security check, even though everything else was fine and I had ample proof that I lived there, alongside the fact I had a car with them literally two days ago and numerous times over the last 5-6 years.  Roberto was so rude in dealing with me, I hope he was just having a bad day but don’t ever use this hertz, go to the sixt or enterprise at the station, I walked right into sixt after being refused a car and they sorted me out instantly. I know where I’ll be taking my custom from now on.

I hired a car from Hertz on the 9th May - 23rd May, first time I've used Hertz, I was given a Polestar 2, amazing car but most importantly amazing customer service from the staff especially Lib and Alex. Lib helped me throughout, I left the car yesterday and had a nice conversation with him after, amazing!

Hire a car in march 2023 from hertz. ROBERTO was fantastic, explained the hiring process and made sure we understood the whole process. Car was clean and went well. ROBERTO Arranged to help us out by making himself available on a day off to allow us to return the car. Excellent service.

Worst experience we have ever had Booked and paid for a petrol car arrived and Waa bluntly told pretty much to bad we only have electric cars it Waa pouring down rain and had just got off a long flight so didn't argue just took it and I'm so cranky I did as upon return of the vehicle they are trying to get us for a scratch on hubcap whic h I know for sure we didn't do

I've booked a car for pick-up the same day via the Hertz website online system. When I went to pick-up the car there was no one there to give me the car. I've spent roughly more than 1h 30min waiting and trying to contact their customer service via phone ending up talking to someone via SMSs. They couldn't advise if anyone would come to give me the car, and they couldn't even get in touch with their branch representative and they even asked me to go to another branch and get a car from there! I've ended up cancelling all my plans for the two days of my rental!  I've been charged for calling their Customer Service team from my phone, and a week after I still haven't received a reply from their customer team about a refund! You are expecting that paying a premium for a well-known car rental service will have good customer service but this is absolutely ridiculous!  The branch supposed to be open on the day I booked but no one was there and even their customer service team asked me to provide photos that no one was there.
