Worst car rental company I have dealt with! On my vacation my rental got cancelled, they ran out cars and did not have one to give me. I contacted Hertz and they said they would process my refund. I called two days later to verify my refund was processed. The person I spoke to said that my refund was not processed. They told me they processed my refund and I could expect it in 7-10 days. I contacted Hertz again to check on my refund 7 days later. The customer service person said my refund wasn't processed by the previous person and that he would ensure that he processed it correctly and gave me a confirmation number, but I had to wait another 7-10 days for my refund. I just called 10 days later to check on my refund and IT WASN"T PROCESSED AGAIN! This is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Hertz doesn't take care about their customers. I now have to wait up to 24 hours to speak to a supervisor in order to see about getting my refund back on a car I never got? Do not use this company. EVER.
Watch out renting from these guys, they charge mileage overages. Strongly recommend Enterprise in Winona. I accidentally booked Hertz through Expedia while searching on "unlimited mileage" rentals and assumed that was what I got. Instead, I get a nice surprise charge from them for mileage overages. When I called to complain, I received some pretty crappy customer service as well. Too bad, because I rent cars often. Note to self, stay away from this place.
I met these people over the phone after one of their car renters smashed into my car over in La Crosse. I exchanged info with the car renters and I received a call from this shop who assured me that they would contact their insurance company who would then contact me so that I could have the damage to my car fixed. instead this hertz rental outlet in Winona is now denying they ever heard of me or that any of their vehicles were ever in a crash much less in a crash involving me.. in addition they were verbally abusive and hung up on me several times. I would not rent from these people. obviously someone who would not only lie i n the face of solid evidence that said crash occurred I have photos and a police report could be pretty much expected to do anything and everything to cheat a customer. if you do rent from them I would take photos of every inch of the car to avoid having them try to extract money from you by blaming you for preexisting damage. these are the sort of people you would be renting from. be forewarned.
The rates were great. The people that work there could use a bit more traffic. They looked a bit slow. Maybe Corp. could spend some if all that profit $ on some local advertising. Living in a small town 2.5 hra. from the Mall of America, Minnesota Vikings, The Saint Paul Saints real baseball the way it was ment to b played, by guys that play for the love of the game. Rent a car take a senic ride north along the rive. Stay a night or two. Explore & eat something u haven't done yet. It's your mini Vacation. Or go on thru, keep driving why not mileage is included. And bc Unlimited! Head up the river & see some of the most beautiful sites this country has to offer. What are you waiting for? The leaves are changing colors fast. Heck, it's Minnesota, it may snow 2' by tomorrow. Get Going, and ENJOY.
Called asking about vans or trucks and was very rudely told that I need to contact U Haul for moving items when all I asked for was if they had Minivans available.
We needed a car right now, and they had just what we needed for our trip. Staff was super helpful.
I called, asked for what I wanted, got it. Excellent service!
