My rental was the nastiest thing I have ever been in. It was disgusting. Stunk like cigarettes so bad I got sick and so did my kid. It was a compact SUV instead of the small SUV I reserved. It had dried ice cream in it. Stale French fries. Gunk in the seatbelts things I had to clean before I could hook up my daughters car seat because it wouldn’t latch. Blood spots on the ceiling. Center console broke. Touch screen wouldn’t work and speakers blown. I spent over $100 and all evening cleaning it like a mad person and it still smells like nasty cigarettes. I was told it was the only one available and my vehicle was put in the shop so I had no choice but to take a rental from Hertz. The oil was below minimum and so was the radiator fluid. I’m surprised it didn’t run hot. It was the NASTIEST rental I have ever seen and I am appalled it was even rentable. Trying to reach Hertz to make a complaint is a joke!! Absolutely disgusting company, location, vehicles and attitudes of the people that work there.

The ladies at Hertz Coliseum Blvd. in Alex go above and beyond to help you and are literally the nicest people. I was stressed because my car had to go in the shop and I have a teenager that I have to get to and from practice along with my work schedule. Thes ladies made everthing so easy and with a smile the whole time! You ladies ROCK! FIVE STARS.....the only company I will use now! Thank y'all so much!

Very rude on multiple occasions. I’ve tried to use them again but get the same demeanor. Hertz on coliseum Blvd Alexandria very unprofessional. Cars not clean inside and out. Their excuse, we’re not obligated to clean outside. Ok, clean the inside then. Couldn’t see out of windows, smelled like smoke etc. They gave me a vehicle with a dead car lock battery and said they couldn’t correct it. Hung up on multiple times trying to rent. Of course, app doesn’t work

As a foreigner, I felt discriminated against and got one of the worst experiences ever with a car rental company. They don’t welcome foreigners and they act suspiciously and in unfriendly way with them. I had all the needed documents to rent a vehicle but the agent refused to give it to me. I showed them my valid local driving license, my valid international driving license, and a valid temporary driving license from Louisiana DMV. Of course this is in addition to my passport and credit card etc.. They wasted my time and ruined my day and I will avoid them completely in the future for the inconvenience they caused to me.

Im actually being charged $600 for an overdue rental when I dropped it off on SuperBowl Sunday when nobody was there to receive it. Check your freaking cameras, people!!!  And when I received this vehicle, all the tires were low, it smelled like somebody had been smoking cigarettes inside, it only had 7/8 of a tank, the car was dirty and filthy, I couldn’t see out of the windshield, and a host of other problems with this car.  Grade: FAIL

These people get NO Stars really!  The rudest most unprofessional group of people I have ever dealt with in my life.  I was being “yelled” at because I wanted to switch cars.  These folks were more interested in what their lunch menu offered than any customer.  No one got out their desks…to show me the “switch.”  Rude Rude Rude!  Hope Hertz corporate is paying attention!! I will NEVER be back in that place again.  Even walking on the interstate to get home is a welcomed thought!

Beware, they don't keep online websites updated of their stock. You will likely show up, like I did and assume your reservation is good, but then they will tell you they don't have any cars in the size you reserved, and unlike enterprise, they will not honor the reservation and tell you that you must pay more for a different car. This is a scam and very frustrating when I could have booked with another company who honor their reservations.

Worse service ever!! Please go to another car rental company if you need too rent a vehicle.

rented a car for 30 days. returned it a week earlier.  drop off on the weekend.  Cbarged full amount.  No receipt.  Office said we will credit.  No receipt.  Did bill for correct days. notice charge full amount for gas.  Called backed.  Girl didn't apologize, was rude n said you still have to pay for some gas, will credit.  No credit. Went online and provided all the information and reservation #.  No response or credit. This happened 5/2.  Next step is BBB and Facebook.  Terrible way to run a business. 6/3 rec credit

The absolute worst hertz car rental business I have ever been to. They do not have any cars to rent but do they tell you that on the phone no they wait until you take a taxi to get there and then tell you they are out of cars after you you have a confirmation number witch means nothing. 4 employees sitting at desk doing nothing. Customer service is terrible horrible. Do not use this car rental place it is terrible.
