Fun family spot, perfect for a fun afternoon. We went to see Santa and were not disappointed. The heated caboose with Santa set up was adorable. We did a train ride on an awesome steam engine. This is ideal for all ages, we have kids ranging 4-15 and a good time was had by all. Will definitely come back in the fall and check out the ghost ride
Great nostalgic place. Doc Soda Fountain was delicious! The large train was a short ride but really nice. The small train was really fun. The blacksmith shop was neat to see and the man working it was very nice. Thanks to all the volunteers
Second time visiting with my kiddos to the haunted train! It's a very fun fall/Halloween experience I recommend especially for families and/or train lovers. The train ride is relaxing and enjoyable. The rest of the museumis scenic and offers lots of picture-taking opportunities. There is a restaurant and indoor restrooms on site.Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entry$6–10

I didn't want to go... but it was the highlight of our trip! Absolutely a blast of the train whistle! The volunteers are amazing, warm, and friendly. The authentic 1911 steam train ride was soooo cool. I want to go back and spend more time. As a bonus, it was pet friendly!
Great place for kids and adults. Ride the trains, three different size steam engines. The ghost train was fun. Nice soda fountain shop and eatery serving hot dogs, hamburgers, etc.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYesPrice for adult entryFree
This place was awesome! One of the workers or volunteers cannot remember talked to us about volunteer or working opportunities with my parents and I. He was a nice gentleman! We rode on the train and Santa Claus showed up! They have an adorable gift shop. They have a cool little restaurant there, the food was good; and riding the trains was really awesome! The entire property was totally neat to look at. There's a lot of old trains and cars etc on the property, and it goes great with everything. It feels like you're walking around in a little hallmark movie. I even played with a man's dogs, Cinnamon and Theodore! I think he may either work there or could possibly be one of owners. I didn't ask! I walk with a cane so I was worried about getting around on the trains, but everyone was very respectful, and it wasn't too hard getting around. This place is so fun! Thanks for an awesome Saturday Hesston Steam Museum! God bless you all, we'll definitely be back!
Wonderful place to bring the children. Gives an engelic place for a child's remembrance. Other things to occupi the grown up as well. Nice summer fares, with fountain drinks. For a hot day. A definite summer to do.
What a fantastic place! Our son loves trains, and we planned a long weekend trip centered around a day here. It did not disappoint. We will be back for sure. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. Especially engineer Ted who showed us around the train shed to get an upclose look at all the engines that weren't running at the time. We will be back for sure!
Loved to this place. I had not known about it previously and was pleasantly surprised to be pointed to it. They had three different gauge trains running this Sunday I was there. The gift shop was nice, the ice cream shop was also very nice. The layout is spacious and they allowed people who are interested to do so, to wander around the place looking at different steam engines.
