Hewitt's Garden Centers

Got my Christmas tree this morning, had the unfortunate experience of getting in a car accident, and the tree didn’t move. Amazing employees who are good at their job!

I love to go to this Hewitt's. It is easy to get in and out of and the staff is very friendly. Great spot to get a nice flowery gift for someone special.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I'm not basing this review on just one bad experience, I'm rating this on extremely poor customer service and NOT HONORING their "Lifetime Guarantee"!! Scenario: my husband and I have purchased our mothers Mother's day gifts from Hewitt's for the past 7 yrs. Last year we both purchased azaleas for our moms. My mom an avid gardener uncovered her azalea this spring and it was an obvious loss. We kept our green receipt, we were told to keep. Brought the green receipt in and was told by the rude older woman at the register, "Where's your sales receipt, we need the sales receipt that was attached to this slip - we need it or you can't return it." Clearly, there was never anything attached to this slip so I showed her that indeed nothing was ever attached. She shrugged her shoulders and said, "sorry ma'am but we cannot take it back." It's not even about the $39.99 azalea. This is about poor customer service and offering a service that has multiple strings attached. The fact that she talked to me as if I was trying to pull a fast one was icing on the cake. Hewitt's, you have lost 4 customers now - my husband, myself and our mothers. Truth be told, I would have fully understood being out the warranty had that wretched woman talked to me nicely instead of immediately going into battle mode. Should you want to educate your employee - I can provide my full receipt transaction from today 5/8/21.

Oh terrible they use a different photo for their easter egg hunt. The time also states 1pm to 2pm. I was parking my truck at 1:06pm and basically got inside 1:10 pm fpr the egg hunt and the said its already done. So think of the time 1pm to 2pm means "1pm you should be done and on your way out by 1:10pm there's no more. All kids exit. Just additional information for others looking for egg hunt for their kids. Their add for egg hunt is wrong "i think its not 1pm to 2pm".

In the 2 years since we've owned a house in the area, we've enjoyed shopping here for the good selections and decent prices. Yesterday's trip turned out a little sour. My wife found a couple of hydrangeas she liked that were marked $19.98 on their individual tags, but the nearby store employee insisted they were $25, pointed to a Hewitt's sign near the cluster of hydrangeas and said he couldn't mark them down. When we pointed out the discrepancy to the cashier, she told us there was nothing she could do, that they would cost the $25 the employee had marked on a slip of paper. When my wife found the assistant manager, he also told her they were $25, regardless of what their individual tags said. This doesn't seem right. When I was in retail and something was incorrectly priced lower than we meant, I was taught to immediately apologize, sell the item for the lower price and see that someone changed the tags or signage to match the price we intended. No apologies, no explanation from Hewitt's. :-

Love a local business like Hewitts! Pricing is very competitive and they carry a lot of items big box stores does not. Employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. Hope they stay around. Well worth the visit.

I've always loved Hewitt's. The selection and prices are always good. I was a bit nervous about social distancing while in such tight spaces, but the Hewitt's has done well reorganizing the layout and all the customers were wearing masks and being courteous. The staff are helpful and used every precaution available, this made me feel very safe. I appreciate that they have curbside service as well. I will continue to use this local Garden center to keep my garden looking beautiful. Thanks Hewitt's.

I've been coming here for years to get my mom a big hanging basket for Mothers' Day. They always last all season! This year, I've been getting into gardening and the staff has been great about answering my questions and directing me to sources of more in-depth information. Plus, they have the kind of organic soil / fertilizer I was looking for, as well as heirloom seeds
