Hewitt Park

Cute playground. Had two main play areas, one for toddlers-preschoolers with a small structure and teeter totter. The second play structure is for school age children. Area has a baby swing, regular swing and a tire swing. Playground: Good for school aged and preschool-toddler with independent but close play structure Dog-friendliness: Along a walking path near some small woods and a soccer pitch commonly used for active dog exercise. Picnic area: Many benches in the area with sight lines to the children's play areas

Took my class of students to this park for an extracurricular field trip and really enjoyed the experience. The combination of open spaces to play and trails to explore was the perfect combination for our students. It was a chilly day but we enjoyed looking at the wildlife and enjoying the open space so close to home.

There was a pop up craft market here yesterday. Great idea. Got a marvelous Christmas gift for a family member.

Soccer field in great shape.

It's a lovely park to walk through or to take your children to play at as they have a play structure. A lot of people walk their dogs there too and it's very nice it isn't on leash park though

Great park for children. I love taking my dog for walks through this area! There is a trail running through the park all the way up to Pickford Dr.

This wasn't a bad park as a kid. The climbing rocks are a unique feature for the suburb, but they cut down this massive climbing tree they had years ago and replaced the playground with one of those sterile ones meant to drive children back to their TV's. It's still a good route for walking loops of Kanata though.

Nice park very clean lots for the kids to do. Not a bad place for a picnic aswell.
